​The Lost & Found - Super cute gift shop on the bench for jewelry, clothing, stickers, craft kits, and great lil stocking stuffer items. Address is 541 S Vista Ave, Boise.

​Idaho Made - Everything in this store is handmade & locally-made things. Everything! They have ceramics, macramΓ©, art, jewelry, magnets, cards, glass art & more! Also a good place for ornaments. Address is 108 N. 6th Street, Downtown Boise

​Flying M - Quirky gifts, journals, cards, stickers, books, funny socks. Ornaments, too! Also coffee lol. Two locations: 500 W Idaho Street #100, Downtown Boise and 1314 2nd Street S, Nampa. Btw the Hip Holiday Craft Market is happening at the Nampa Flying M on Sat Dec 2.

​Mixed Greens - cute shop with Idaho and other artwork, jewelry, candles, kitchen trinkets, baby gifts, air plants. Great place for little xmas decor & ornaments. My go-to for cards & cute wrapping paper. Also they will wrap your gifts for you! Address is 213 N 9th Street, Downtown Boise.

​Record Exchange - For music lovers, duh! But really, they have alllll the vinyl, cds, cassettes, music posters, books & merch you could dream of. Also the gift shop is amazing. Shirts, socks, bags, kid stuff, hats, magnets, kitchen trinkets, journals, Idaho things. Lots of great stocking stuffers. Great card section, too. Address is 1105 West Idaho Street, Downtown Boise.

​Re-POP Gifts - The place for everything pop culture! You'll find all kinds of things here from Big Foot to Harry Potter to Star Trek to Strangers Things. Action figures, towels, posters, clothing, pins, stickers, ornaments, keychains, costumes, artwork & more. Address is 210 N 10th Street, Downtown Boise.

​Fluff Hardware - Fluff Hardware is a jewelry company that does metal stamped earrings, bracelets, necklaces & rings. Now they have a giant gift shop downtown with all their products and so much more. Bandanas, bags, funny stickers, candles, plant stuff. They also do DIY stamping parties where you can make your own jewelry - that would be a fun "experience" gift to do with a friend! The store is at 765 W Idaho Street, Downtown Boise.

​Basque Museum Gift Shop - The place to go for everything Basque! Clothing, bags, books, cards, decor, kitchen items, jewelry & more. You may as well take a museum tour while you are there, too. Address is 611 W Grove Street, Downtown Boise.

​Dragonfly - A gift shop with jewelry, tea towels, aromas, spa items, clothing, funny socks, purses, tarot cards, journals, etc. Cute ornaments too. They also have a new speakeasy in the back called The Alley Lounge. Address is 414 W Main Street, Downtown Boise.

​Eyes of the World - Gifts for the hippie on your xmas list. They have all kinds of jewelry, gems, crystals, tapestries, home decor, singing bowls, and some great clothing. My go-to gift here are these little ceramic mushrooms that you put in your garden. So cute. Address is 1576 W Grove Street, Downtown Boise.

Hyde and Seek - This place is literally filled to the brim with things. It's a lil more on the spendy side but there's soo many things. Tons and tons of xmas decor, home decor, jewelry, trinkets, and my fave stained glass windows. They will gift wrap for you! Also they don't have a website or socials (which is kind of awesome) but here is the yelp page​. Address is 1521 N 13th Street, Boise.

​Dunia Marketplace - Has all fair trade global gifts. Tea towels, and little boxes and kitchen items, cute ornaments, instruments, games, cards, journals, kid stuff, all kinds of things. They used to be in that little green house in Hyde Park and just recently moved to 1718 W Main Street.

​Salvage Sisters & Son - A shop with rustic & vintage housewares, kitchen stuff, bags, boxes, signs, vases, furniture & more. This is the real deal! Address is 1767 S Broadway Ave, Boise. While you are there, go browse & get a coffee at Hideout Coffee Co - it's right next door!

​Farm store at Peaceful Belly - Find farm-fresh gifts like pasta, baked goods, etc. Also lots of little items from local artists. Super cute stuff in here. You could also get some Peaceful Belly cider for a stocking stuffer. And while you're out there, you should definitely get lunch! It's soo good. Address is 20023 Hoskins Road, Caldwell.

​Lark + Larder - Explore local goodies! Food items, beer/wine, cocktail mixers, ceramics, jewelry, artwork & more. Also they put together these cute curated gift boxes that make for super easy shopping. Address is 233 N Orchard Street, Boise Bench. They are doing a pop up with Shadow Puppet Wine Shop this weekend. If you didn't hear, Shadow Puppet had a flood and are out of their space for a bit. Go support them if you can.

​Feather and Twine - Everything home decor. Wall art, tables, bowls, candles, kitchen items, rugs, pillows, etc. Lots of cute stuff here! Address is 3107 W State Street, Boise.

​Handmade Idaho - a local company with all local and Idaho-themed items. It's inside the Boise Towne Square mall, at 350 N Milwaukee St, Ste 1141, Boise.

​Dwell Home Co - All things home decor. This store is soo cute and perfect for home gifts! Address is 1580 E. State St., Suite 101, Eagle.

Wearables

We've got some pretty sweet local clothing stores and brands these days! Here's a few to check out for local shopping or gift cards:

​Shift Boutique & Keystone Station - Shift is one of my go-to's for clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, etc. Real cute stuff in there. And next door (same owners) is Keystone, which is men's clothing, hats, accessories. Address is 807 W Bannock Street, Downtown Boise.

​Banana Ink - All Idaho-inspired designs. Clothing, hats, pendants, mugs & more. This is my fave place for getting Idaho gifts for family out of town. Address is 214 N 9th Street, Downtown Boise.

​Compass Goods - This the the store for little knickknacks for the outdoorsy people. They have awesome packable games like chess, checkers, dominoes, and cribbage. Plus other cool stuff like bandanas, apparel, pins, patches and so much more. Address is 176 N 9th St, Downtown Boise.

​No New Vintage - One of the best stories for vintage lovers. They do gift cards too! Address is 409 S 8th street, Suite 101, Downtown Boise.

​3Peat Vintage & Streetwear - For the sneakerheads and vintage sportswear & streetwear lovers. Address is 1025 W Main Street, Downtown Boise.

​Wear Boise - All Idaho and Boise themed clothing. This is where you get the Idaho with a beard and the parachuting beaver clothing. Shop online or at Handmade Idaho (350 N Milwaukee St, Ste 1141, Boise.)

​Boise OG - Nostalgic and funny Boise clothing, stickers and games. Boise OG preserves, pokes fun at, and celebrates the things, people, and businesses that make Boise so great. These are great stocking stuffer for old school Boise people. They also have a new board game out called Surviving Camel's Back.

​Hayes Company Boutique - A clothing and jewelry boutique in the North End. Address is 1609 N. 13th St., Boise.

​UNHLY Supply Things - A newish clothing brand in Boise that I discovered this year at Hyde Park Street Fair this summer and saw them again this weekend at Wintry Market. They make really cool clothing with unique designs and it's all super comfy!

​iBeni Boutique - A locally owned shop with women's clothing, home decor and lil gift things. Address is 2845 E Overland Road, Ste 130, Meridian.

Handmades

​Clay By Shay - Handmade, locally-made clay pots, vases, earrings, bracelets, necklaces. These are some of my fave earrings! She just started making beautiful tableware that she is selling in sets. Another gift idea from Shay is her pottery classes at her studio, Clay Collective, where you go in and make your own piece. So fun! Clay Collective, is at 3017 W State Street, Boise.

​Klei Ceramics - Handmade ceramic pots, lamps (I want one of these so bad), candle holders and more. I love her stuff so much!

​Weave Gold - Amazing beaded & metal earrings & bracelets. Also some of my faves.

​Folk + Lore - These beeswax candles are a go-to gift for me. I have one burning next to me right now. These candles are made with 100% Idaho beeswax, and come in all kinds of fun shapes and size. ​Thread Honey - A local embroiderer who does custom name banners (cute for kids room/baby gift) and has these adorable embroidery kits so you can diy! Fun gift for the crafty person in your life.

House plants & garden goodies

​A Succulent Day - This shop is quite literally filled to the brim with plants. Pick and plant and a pot and slap a bow on it. Such an easy gift! Address is 2753 W State Street, Boise.

​Greenscapes Boutique - The biggest plant shop in Boise! They have all kinds of common and rare plants, pots and more. Address is 605 S Vista Ave, Boise.

​North End Organic Nursery - Incredible house plants, little gifts for the garden & plant-inspired gifts. They have xmas trees too. Address is 3777 W. Chinden Blvd, Garden City.

​Edwards Greenhouse - Great for flower arrangements, houseplants, garden gifts and little accessories. They are having pop up markets there on the weekends. Address is 4106 Sand Creek Street, Boise.

​Zamzows - Mostly like a lawn and garden store but they always have great houseplants too! And you can get some lil garden and pet gifts here too!

​Wildflower Floral Co - They do flower delivery subscriptions, so you could send someone new flowers each month/week/season for an entire YEAR. That's a gooood gift idea y'all.

Things to eat & drink

Sometimes the best gifts are edible. You can use it as a stocking stuffer, make a lil gift basket, attach something to the top of another gift - so many options! A few places to find cool food & drink things:

​Chicana Foods - One of the best salsas ever! These make a great stocking stuffer or parent gift. You can buy online or find it at one of the stores listed on the website. Read my story about Chicana Foods.

​Das Alpenhaus Delikatessen - A German market and deli that has delicious food and a variety of market items and canned/bottled beers and ciders that make for fun gifts. Address is 1340 S Vista Ave, Boise.

​Hops & Bottles - A bottle shop and tap room, perfect for build-your-own 6 packs. Every year I get my dad a 6 pack of Idaho beers and he loves it! Address is 1420 W Grove Street, Boise.

​Olivin Olive Oil & Vinegar Taproom - Fun gift idea for someone who loves to cook. You also get to taste everything so it's a fun shopping experience too. Address is 218 N 9th Street, Boise.

​The Basque Market - In addition to being a restaurant, The Basque Market has a handful of Spanish wine, cheese, breads and little items for sale. Address is 608 W Grove Street, Boise.

​Hot Eric Honey - A local company that makes raw honey mixed with spices. You mix a spoonful with hot milk or water and viola, you have a yummy drink.

​Bruce Ranch Beef - How about getting someone some meat for Christmas? Bruce Ranch Beef offers "shares" of different beef cuts that are delivered to your home for free!

​Hudson Baking Co - Has amazing sourdough loaves and super amazing cinnamon rolls. And they deliver!

​Nora’s Family Bakery - Nora’s Family Bakery makes all kinds of different banana and zucchini breads. This season they are doing holiday gift boxes where you can choose 1 full loaf, two mini loaves and sourdough brownies or cinnamon rolls all in one box for $40. And they do free local delivery in Ada and Canyon County!

Toys & games

​G. Willikers Toy Merchant - Toys, games, puzzles, science kits, crafts & so much more. They do free gift wrapping! Address is 1508 N 13th Street, Boise.

​Boise Monopoly - We have Boise Monopoly now. Hot tip: buy it at Boise Metro Chamber Gift Shop for $40, and on First Thursdays you get an extra 10% off!

​All Weather Adventure - This is a business run by a local mom, Holly, and she makes these awesome nature-based adventure kits for kids. These are so cute and cool. You can buy seasonal and regional kits. She's based in Boise, her insta is @allweatheradventuring.

​Rediscovered Books - Tons and tons of book options, journals and also really great puzzles. Address is 180 N 8th St, Downtown Boise.

Sometimes the best gift is doing something together! Some ideas:

Tickets to a Boise State football game or Steelheads hockey game. Take them to dinner before and make a whole night of it!

​Season + Taste cooking class - ​I just did one of these and it was super fun. There's all kinds of cooking classes like cooking with wine, flavors of Italy, pasta and pie making, so much more. Book a class in 2023 and use code FALLFORME20 to get 20% off!

Gift card(s) to coffee shops - so you can go get a yummy drink together or fuel their next coffee shop work sesh.

There's always that one person that you have absolutely no idea what to get. For that, I suggest:

For your pet
