Bogus Basin Mountain Report
Bogus Basin is open this weekend, even amid unseasonably warm temperatures and the lowest early-season snowpack ever recorded at the area. Thanks to significant snowmaking efforts, and their investment in Snow Secure, the Bogus Basin team is doing everything they can to see the community back on snow. 🌨️
The Coach Chairlift, Discovery, Easy Rider, and Explorer Conveyors are open this Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 4:30pm. Day tickets are $25, conveyor-only tickets are $15.
Season pass holders – have you picked up your new Season Pass Access Card? The Downtown Sales Office is open daily!
Schitts Creek Weekend

​4th Annual Schitt's Creek Weekend is happening at The Modern Hotel & Bar. Enjoy dinner & drinks at Cafe Tropical, take a pic in the town sign photo booth in lobby, shop at Rose Apothecary in Suite 116 (OPEN 6-9pm) with local vendors, get a Schitty tat from the themed flash sheet in Suite 242, a costume contest, and more! Make a whole weekend of it with the Rosebud Motel Package.
Ramen Rave
Saturday, December 13
- ​Ramen Rave is happening from 7pm-late at The Shrine Basement. Noodle Monster founder Kyle Bigelow (who’s been hosting ramen pop-ups and serving handmade ramen for 10+ years) is teaming up with Seattle’s SMS Collective (drkh3art, A Guy Called Soup, and mquin) plus local DJs Izze Azalea and LX. Expect community, immersive art, house music that’ll keep you moving, and steaming bowls of ramen to carry you through the night.
Treefort Music Fest Lineup: Wave 2
- ​Treefort Music Fest just released more of the 2026 lineup. Peep the poster below or see more here. A few artists I'm excited to see: Gelli Haha, flipturn, Liz Cooper, Cat Clyde, Brijean, The Beaches, Wine Lips. The fest is March 26-29 in downtown Boise.

- ​Raise a Glass is happening from 6–9pm at Boise Art Glass. Make your own stamped ornament, enjoy wine tasting, and browse a silent auction packed with local prizes. Tix include a raffle entry and proceeds support the WCA.

- ​Great Gingerbread Build – Free Public Showcase is happening at The Creative Space in Garden City. This festive community gingerbread competition showcases dozens of creative builds from local businesses, families, and youth. Stop by on Friday (12–7pm) or Saturday (10am–6pm) to cast four votes for your favorite displays and support Corpus Commons, Boise’s day-only shelter serving 200+ neighbors experiencing homelessness each day. It’s free to attend and vote!

- ​LED’s The Rat King reimagines The Nutcracker through a bold, burlesque-inspired lens – part Sugar Plum, part mischief. This genre-defying holiday production follows the lesser-known story of the Rat King with aerial artistry, tap, opera, comedy, and more. Happening this weekend + Dec 17-20. Tix are $58-$88.

- ​Woodblock Printmaking is happening from 10:30am–3pm at Catalyst Arts Collaborative. This hands-on workshop teaches you how to carve a woodblock, ink it, and make your own prints. You’ll create a unique block and can pull up to four 6x8 prints during class. Bring your own design or use one provided - no art experience needed! It’s $90 and open for ages 16+
- ​Ballet Idaho’s The Nutcracker returns to the Morrison Center this Saturday, December 13. It’s a beautiful production set to the Boise Philharmonic’s live performance of Tchaikovsky’s score. Follow Clara from the festive Stahlbaum party to the battle with the Mouse King, the snowy forest, and the Land of the Sweets in this timeless holiday classic. Performances run Dec 13–15 and Dec 19–21. Audio-described shows are offered on Dec 14 at 12pm and Dec 20 at 7pm. It’s a holiday tradition!
- ​The Children’s Winterland Festival is happening from 10am–2pm at Meridian Homecourt. This free, family-friendly event is packed with crafts, games, treats, and visits with Santa. Kids can make ornaments and holiday decorations, play festive games, and warm up with cookies and cocoa. It’s free!
- ​Last Chance Holiday Market is happening from 2–8pm at Barbarian Brewing in Garden City. This festive pop-up is packed with local makers offering dog treats, candles, jewelry, soaps, baked goods, cards, and more. It’s your final chance to shop small before the holidays. Admission is free.

- ​Winter Ethereal Arts Bazaar is happening at the Comedy Lounge from 1-6pm. Celebrate the elements, shop local artists and makers offering unique and distinctive gifts, listen to musicians and storytellers, and enjoy catered seasonal soups, spreads, and mocktails. There’s also a Make & Take class where you can learn to create your own intention candles. It’s a free and all ages event!
- ​Adult Gymnastics Open Gym is happening at Bronco Gymnastics (106 E 48th St, Boise) from 10am-12pm. It's for seasoned gymnasts, beginners eager to explore gymnastics, or people who just wants to jump around on a trampoline and cannonball into the pit without fear of crushing a child. $10 cash.

​Enchanted Christmas at Chateau des Fleurs is happening from 3-7pm. Join Cinderella, Belle, Anna, Elsa, Santa, Mrs. Claus, and Santa’s Elves for a beautifully curated one-hour holiday experience. - ​Pranom Traveling Thai will be at Barbarian Brewing in Garden City from 4-8pm (or until sold out). Chef Dream Kasestatad of Pranom travels all over the country serving authentic Thai cuisine handed down from generations of family home-style cooking. He does not have a brick-and-mortar location, and you can only find his amazing Thai food at his Pranom pop ups!
- ​Long Drink Santa Crawl is happening at 8 different bars in downtown Boise. It starts at Silly Birch at 9pm. There's a "rule" at each stop like no phones, talk with an accent, etc. Also a Santa hat is required to participate. RSVP here. 21+

- Comedian, author, journalist, and musician Charlie Berens is doing two sets at The Egyptian Theatre at 7pm and 8pm. Most of his comedy is about Midwesterners. Tix are $50-$70.
- Comedy veteran Brad Upton is performing at the Comedy Lounge. He’s a former 4th grade teacher and part-time track coach, and his 2019 Dry Bar comedy special is the second most viewed comedy special on the planet. Tix are $35-$42. There’s two shoes at 5:30pm and 8:30pm.
