  • Indian Creek Festival is happening in downtown Caldwell. It’s Friday from 6-9pm and Saturday from 7am-4pm. There’s lots going on including live music, a car show, a dance competition, tug-of-war over Indian Creek, and the iconic Cardboard Kayak Races. See the schedule here.
  • 13 Stories Film Showcase V is happening at the Old Idaho Pen. You can watch brand new short films by local filmmakers inspired by true Idaho State Penitentiary stories. There’s screenings on Friday and Saturday nights, both starting at 8pm.

Friday, Sept 13 - Sunday, Sept 15

  • Boise Pride Festival is happening this weekend in Cecil D. Andrus park in downtown Boise. Each day there will be live music, drag performances, dance performances, and more. There’s also a fireworks show on Friday night. The parade is on Sunday at 9am and there’s also a pet pride show on Sunday at 12:45pm. See the full schedule here.
  • Hyde Park Street Fair is happening in Camel’s Back Park this weekend. Shop local vendors, enjoy live music and entertainment on two stages, and some great people-watching. Find parking/transportation info here and the entertainment schedule here.

  • Fiestas Patrias Meridian is happening at Kleiner Park in Meridian at 12pm. Celebrate Mexican Independence Day with food, Mexican folk dancers, live music and more. All ages.

Spooky movies

  • Idaho Film Society is showing Friday the 13th at 7pm.
  • Veer Wine Project is showing Silence of the Lambs at 7pm. They will also have a popcorn bar and wine, of course. Tix are $10. 21+

Tattoos & piercings

  • Resurrected Tattoo in Boise is doing a flash tattoo special with $50 outlines and $80 black and gray shading. They will give the first 100 people a wristband to guarantee entry and they have food trucks outside.
  • Skin Deceptions Tattoo Studio in Boise is doing full color tattoos for $60 and $100 plus $30 piercings. Starts at 12pm.
  • Not Your Average Tattoo Shop in Boise is doing a $25 tattoo and piercing event starting at 10am.
  • McNabb’s Tattoo in Boise is doing a flash tattoo special and $13 piercings from 11am-7pm.
  • Tattoo Bob’s is doing a flash tattoo special but didn’t get the deets so that’s all I know.
  • Snake River Tattoo in Garden City is having a tattoo flash special starting at 12pm.
  • Temptation Tattoo in Nampa is doing flash tattoos for $30 with additional colors for $10/color. They are also doing half off piercings.
  • Crow’s Nest Tattoo in Kuna is doing a $50 flash tattoo special from 10am-8pm.

  • Boise Farmers Market is happening from 9am-1pm at 1500 Shoreline Drive in Boise. This one is a food-focused market with local farmers, ranchers, and producers, plus a few food trucks. Also fyi no dogs allowed.
  • Capital City Public Market is happening from 9:30am-1:30pm on the Grove Plaza in downtown Boise. Art, baked goods, produce, herbs and spices, clothing, jewelry, and more.
  • Meridian Main Street Market is happening from 9am-2pm at City Hall Plaza & next to Meridian City Hall. Find fresh produce, artisan goods, crafts, and more.
  • Nampa Farmers Market is happening from 9am-1:30pm in Lloyd Square Park in Nampa. Tons of vendors to shop!
  • Eagle Saturday Market is going on from 9am-2pm at Eagle City Hall Campus. There’s food and craft vendors, and live music.

  • David Spade is performing at Morrison Center at 8pm. Still have a few tix left that range from $45-$65.
  • Off the Cuff, an improv stand up comedy show, is happening at 7pm at Mad Swede Brew Hall in downtown Boise. Comedians include Tyson Gusman, LJ Sullivan, Breanna Kelley, Chris Foster, Leslie Bing, and Andrew Kent. Tix are $10-$65.
  • Improv Insanity Adult Comedy Show is happening at Watson’s Cafe at 8:30pm. Tix are $15-$45. 18+

  • Shortform Improv Comedy Show, a fast-paced performance blends a variety of shortform improv games with audience participation, is happening at Recycled Minds Comedy. Starts at 8pm. Tix are $15 for adults and $5 for kids.

  • PlanBri, the Barstool Sports podcast/comedy show, is at Treefort Music Hall at 8pm (doors at 7pm). Tix are $50 for GA, $65 for rail seats, or $100 for VIP.
  • The Super Video Game Super Show, an improv Mario comedy show, is happening at Watson’s Cafe at 6pm. Tix are $15-$45 and it’s open to all ages.

Monday, Sept 16

  • Hilarity for Charity, an improv comedy fundraiser, is happening at Beside Bardenay at 6:30pm. It's a fundraiser for Attorneys for Civics Education (“ACE”), a nonprofit that has programs to teach civics in schools. Tix are $25.

  • Salsa Festival is happening at North End Organic Nursery from 5-8pm. Sample locally made salsas from producers and restaurants and you can even enter your own salsa into the amateur competition for prizes. There will also be food, drinks, and activities.

Saturday, Sept 14

  • Drag Brunch is happening at Diablo & Sons at 11am. Tix are $20-$80 depending on seating.
  • Food Truck Fiesta is happening at Jordan’s Garden Center at 3pm. There will be multiple Hispanic and Latin-owned food trucks, plus a free pumpkin patch, a hay maze, corn box, petting zoo and photo ops.

  • The Entrepreneur Experience is happening at Coiled Wines from 6:30-9pm. Hear from a panel of local female business owners & browse experience stations curated to help you level up in your business and self-care. Tix are $25-$30.

Saturday, Sept 14

  • The Common Well is hosting Meet Me at The Well, a whole day of art events happening in Garden City. There's show & tell art exhibits & panel discussions, a clothesline art show, live music, and more. Goes 10am-7:30pm at The Common Well (110 W 31st Street in Garden City).
  • Pedal to the Petals, a guided bike tour through some of Boise’s most abundant culinary gardens, is happening at 10am. It starts at George’s Cycles (where you can rent a bike if needed). Tix are $35.
  • Reach for the Stars Space Day is happening at Nampa Civic Center from 12-4pm. There’s space themed hands-on activities, two planetarium shows, a solar telescope, robotic demonstrations, BSU’s AstroTAC, and presentations by astronauts Barbara Morgan & Steve Swanson. Admission is by donation. Funnn!
  • The 30th Annual Koi Show is happening at Edwards Greenhouse from 10am-4pm. There's koi judging, Taiko drummers, a bonsai display, food trucks and vendors. Read more about Boise's koi community here.
  • It’s a Twilight movie marathon at The Egyptian Theatre this weekend. Twilight is showing at 2pm. New Moon is showing at 5pm. Eclipse is showing at 8pm. Tix are $10 per movie or you can see all three movies for $15.
  • Grandparents Day at Lowe Family Farm is on Saturday from 10am-9pm. One Grandparent receives free admission with each paid grandchild!

Sunday, Sept 15

  • Fur-ious Fitness with F45, an outdoor HIIT workout for dogs & humans, is happening at Clubhound at 10am. There’s interactive exercises like sprints, lunges with tug-of-war, push-ups with belly rubs. Tix are $10.
