Happy Halloween!! What a beautiful week – there's is nothing better than fall in Boise.

Thursday, October 30

  • Confluence Market: Halloween Edition is happening from 5–9pm at Sagebrush Collaborative (1609 N 13th St). Shop handmade goods, enjoy live music, DIY activities, and flash tattoos at this free community night market. Costumes encouraged, plus there’s a dog costume contest with prizes and treats! Free and all ages.
  • Zoo Boise Spooky Safari is happening from 6–8pm at Zoo Boise. Celebrate Halloween after dark with a guided tour exploring animal nighttime behaviors, plus beer, cider, and wine for purchase. Tix are $25. 21+
  • Halloween Party at Boise Brewing. Complete with games, prizes, costume contest, beer + sweets pairings, and more. Goes from 6-10pm.
  • Monster Mashup Halloween Music Bingo is happening at Watson’s Mystery Café & Spirits from 7–9pm. It’s a spooky night of Halloween-themed music bingo. It’s free! 21+

Thursday, October 30 – Saturday, November 1

  • Downtown Nampa Haunted Walking Tour is happening at 7pm and 9pm in downtown Nampa. Take a guided one-mile tour through 13 eerie sites and hear haunting tales of the city’s murderous and ghostly past. Costumes encouraged. Tix are $20. 18+

Friday, October 31

  • Hops & Bottles Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest is happening from 6–8pm at Hops & Bottles. Bring your dog downtown for a night of costumes, prizes, and free hotdogs for humans and treats for dogs. Prizes include Hops & Bottles gift cards for the best costumes. It’s free to attend! 21+.
  • Nightmare on Belmont Street: Halloween Bash is happening from 6–9pm at Belmont Brew House in Garden City. Sip spooky brews, play games, win prizes, and enter the costume contest (judged by Bad Santa). Free entry. 21+
  • 10 Barrel Costume Contest is happening at 10 Barrel Brewing Company from 12–11pm. Stop by anytime on Halloween to show off your costume, snap a photo to enter, and enjoy beer, food, and prizes for both kids and adults. It’s free!
  • FREEky Friday: Family Halloween Party is happening at Big Al’s Meridian from 3pm to close. It’s a family-friendly Halloween celebration with bowling, arcade play, photo booths, costume contests, and festive food and drinks. It’s free!
  • Halloween HogsMEAD Night is happening at Mythic Mead from 5–11:45pm. Enjoy wizard movies, trivia, and limited-edition butterbeer mead in true Hogwarts style, plus complimentary snacks and cozy vibes. It’s free! Wear your house colors (I'm a Ravenclaw all the way).
  • There’s a free residential haunted house at 4304 S Cimarron Ave from 7–11pm. This one is sooo good with creepy clowns and circus stuff. It’s free, with donations appreciated!

Saturday, November 1

  • Samhain is happening at Morris Hill Cemetery from 1–4pm. Hosted by Treasure Valley Witches and El Centro Espiritual, the gathering honors the dead with offerings, costumes, and a potluck celebration afterward at Ann Morrison Park. It’s free!

  • The 74th Annual Ski Swap is happening at Expo Idaho. It’s a huge ski and snowboard sale with deals on gear, clothing, and equipment. Tix are $5, or free on Sunday with a donation of two canned food items. Pro tip: dress yourself and your family in clothing that you can easily try gear on top of.

  • Paper & Ink: Holiday Card-Making Workshops are kicking off on Saturday from 11am–1pm at Lenses & Brushes (404 S 8th St, Suite L100). These are happening Wednesdays 6-8pm & Saturdays 11am-1pm through December 20. You get to create four handcrafted holiday cards each session with guided demos, access to a full card-making bar, and light refreshments. Tix are $38 or $66 for two people. Age appropriate for 10+.
  • Capital High's Christmas Bazaar is happening at Capital High School from 9am-5pm in the Aux Gym. Admission is free!
  • Santa is arriving at Cabela's! There's a free event to welcome the big man plus a tree lighting, treats, and more.
  • Hope Lutheran Holiday Bazaar is happening at Hope Lutheran Church in Eagle. You’ll find handmade gifts, baked goods, jams, and sweet treats, plus cinnamon rolls, coffee, and soup for lunch while you shop. Proceeds benefit the Hope Food Pantry and the Meridian Food Bank’s Backpack Program for the West Ada School District.

Monday, November 3

  • Holiday Market at Art Source Gallery is kicking off and will go through December 24. It’s open 10am–6pm Monday - Saturday and 12–4pm on Sundays. Shop for locally made gifts, from handcrafted pottery and art, gourmet treats, and holiday ornaments.

  • Animal Masks Workshop is happening at Catalyst Arts Collaborative from 11am–1pm. Kids ages 8–13 can design and create their own animal or fantasy mask using felt, fur, and creative crafting techniques. Tix are $35.

  • Día de Muertos Celebration is happening from 3–6pm at JUMP. Celebrate the Day of the Dead with music, dance, altars, and traditional treats like Pan de Muerto and hot chocolate. Enjoy performances by Mariachi Cantares de México, Ballet Folklorico Yaret de Idaho, and more, plus a Catrin and Catrina costume contest. It’s free!

  • Avalanche Awareness is happening from 6:30–8pm at Stio (124 S 6th St). Join Josh Butler from Avalanche Science Guides for a discussion on gear, safety, and preparation for backcountry adventures this winter. It’s free!

  • Comedian Arielle Isaac Norman is at Mad Swede Brew Hall. She’s a SXSW Regular and Kill Tony Panelist known for her quick wit, dark humor, and politically fluid satire. Friday show is at 7pm and Saturday show is at 9pm. Tix are $25.

  • Off Script! Comedy Show is happening at Recycled Minds Comedy at 8pm. It’s a fast-paced improv show where the audience helps shape the night. There’s no scripts, just hilarious, spontaneous comedy made up on the spot. Tix are $16 for adults or $6 for kids.
