Bogus Basin Mountain Report
Cold temps are returning to the mountain next week, and the snowmaking team is ready fire up the snowmaking machines as soon as conditions allow!
Did you pick up your 2025/26 season pass access card? All season pass holders need to pop into the Downtown Sales Office (2600 N Bogus Basin Rd.) before the season starts!

​Spoken Coffee just opened today at 10092 Overland Road in Boise. It’s a super cute new coffee shop in West Boise. If you recognize the tagline “happiness is spoken here” from the former Hollywood Market in the north end, you are on the right track! The name is an homage to Hollywood Market. Go check it out! They are open Tue-Sun 7:30am-4pm.

​Writing Cinematic Scenes workshop is happening at the Erma Hayman House from 6–7:30pm. It’s a free interactive workshop with Boise City Writer-in-Residence Kim Cross on crafting vivid, movie-like scenes using dynamic language and concrete detail. It’s free! 18+.

​Family Clay Night is happening at Catalyst Arts Collaborative from 6–8pm. It’s an ongoing pottery class for ages 8+ with small-group instruction for beginners and practice time for more advanced students, including creating and glazing 1–3 pieces. Tix are $35.
​Scentsy Christmas Lights ceremony is happening on Friday from 5:30-8pm at Scentsy Commons in Meridian. The annual light display has hundreds of thousands of colorful lights, Scentsy’s signature light tunnel, and a 75-foot glowing ribbon tree. There’ll be food trucks (Churro Bros, Meltz Grilled Cheese, Tacos El Rey & more) and festive fun for the whole family. Free to attend.
​Black Light Skate Glow Party is happening at Treasure Valley Skate from 6–8:30pm. It’s an all-ages glow skate with DJJohnnyUtah playing hits from the 70s–2000s.
Saturday, November 15
​Veterans Breakfast is happening at the Eagle Senior Center from 8–10am. It’s a free community breakfast honoring veterans, active military, and their families.
​No New Vintage Market is happening from 10am-4pm at the Linen Building. There’s all kinds of vintage treasures, coffee, flash tattoos, and good company. It’s free to attend and dog-friendly!
The Alternative Christmas Market is happening from 10am–2pm at Cathedral of the Rockies. It’s a special holiday market where local nonprofits sell ethically made gifts that give back, supporting causes like food security, foster care, refugee aid, and more. On Saturday, you can also grab a homemade bread and soup lunch in their Fellowship Hall. It’s free and open to the public.
​The inaugural Boise Pickle Palooza is happening at The Flying Pickle from 4–8pm. It’s an evening of play, raffles, games, dinner, drinks, and a silent auction, all benefiting the American Brain Tumor Association. Tix are $90.
​Visual Arts Collective’s Grand(ish) Opening is happening at VAC from 1pm–midnight. They just completed a sweet remodel! There will be happy hour all night, snacks and sweets starting at 5pm, special cocktails, and chances to win tickets to upcoming VAC shows. It’s free! 21+.

​Winter Beer Fest is happening at Lost Grove Brewing in Hyde Park from 12–5pm. Sip your way through 30+ winter brews from Lost Grove and other local favorites, from cozy dark ales to crisp holiday lagers. Expect good food, fun surprises, and plenty of frosty cheer. Tix are $35.
If you’ve been wanting to get into sourdough baking, this one is for you. There’s a Winter Sourdough Class at FarWest Landscape & Garden Center at 1pm on Saturday. Learn how to make and care for your own bubbly sourdough starter. Perfect for beginners and bread lovers alike. Bring your own container and they’ll provide the rest. It’s $20.
Sturman’s Wine & Cigars is hosting a Chili Cook-Off from 5–7pm, their address is 4204 W Chinden Blvd in Garden City. It’s free to attend, crowd-voted, and comes with prizes and bragging rights. Stop by to taste, vote, or compete. If you want to compete just give them a call to sign up.

The 3rd Annual Espresso Martini Week is underway with 20 local bars shaking up their own spin on the classic cocktail. ​Literary Trivia Night is happening at White Dog Brewing from 6:30–8:30pm. It’s a semi-annual trivia night from The Cabin with categories spanning fiction, nonfiction, sci-fi, fantasy, romantasy, and classic lit, plus prizes like books, swag, and passes to future events. Tix are $50 per team of up to six.
​Comedian Steve Soelberg​ is at Shrine Social Club in the Ballroom. He's built a following by turning those ever-so-awkward everyday moments that make most of us look away into laugh-out-loud stories you’ll be quoting later. Tix are $26 and it starts at 6pm.

​Pro-AM is happening at ComedySportz from 7:30–9pm. It’s an improv showdown pairing seasoned ComedySportz pros with rising Minor League players for a night of competitive comedy. Tix are $15-$20.
​Theta Wave is happening at Liquid Lounge from 8–9pm. It’s a bizarre and hilarious improvised theater show from Uproar that dives into the subconscious for an experience that goes beyond the veil of normality. Tix are $10. 18+.

Comedian Nat Baimel is happening at The Comedy Lounge from 7–8:30pm. He’s known for dark, smart, and upbeat comedic take on life, viral jokes, top-charting comedy albums. Tix are $20. 21+.
​Nerd Out Improv Comedy Show is happening at The Creative Space from 8–9:30pm. It’s an interactive, nostalgia-fueled long-form improv show inspired by classic movies, toys, sci-fi, and all things nerdy. Tix are $16 for adults, $6 for kids 5–12, and $5 for students.
​Off The Cuff is happening at Mad Swede Brew Hall from 9–10:30pm. It’s an improv comedy show where audience members write down topics and shout suggestions at the comedians. Sounds fun for the audience and stressful for the comedian lol. Tix are $13 online or $19 at the door.
​ComedySportz is happening at ComedySportz from 7:30–9pm. It’s a high-energy improv comedy match where two teams compete for points using only audience suggestions. Tix are $20-$25.
​The Late Night Comedy Open Mic is happening at Mad Swede Brew Hall from 11pm–12:30am. It’s a free weekly open mic hosted by Tanya Cope, featuring everyone from seasoned local comics to first-timers and touring pros. It’s free!
