Out of Town Tip

It's summer and that means its paddle board season. Our out of town tip for you this week is a few beautiful places in SW Idaho to take your SUP.

You’ve heard of Payette Lake in McCall, but have you heard of Little Payette Lake? It’s a natural lake in McCall & a much quieter experience than the larger Payette Lake.

Lake Cascade covers over 47 square miles with lots of shoreline to explore, plus amazing views of surrounding mountains and valley. You can byo SUP and launch it from the shore, or rent a SUP or kayak from Van Wyck Boat Ramp at Lake Cascade State Park.

Did you know there’s a lake at Bruneau Dunes? Dunes Lake is one of the most under the radar SUP spots. There’s no motorized boats out here, so you’ll have nice flat water to explore. Also you’ll definitely want to stay the night at Bruneau Dunes because the stargazing is incredible.

Next time you visit Idaho, be sure to bring your SUP and check out one of these spots in SW Idaho.
