Calling all local artists!

CBH Homes is looking for local creatives to take part in Hearts Across the Valley – a community-wide art experience launching in Spring 2025.

Creatives have the chance to design bespoke hearts that will be displayed on large 5ft x 5ft fiberglass heart sculptures. The sculptures will be installed across 13 cities in Southern Idaho, celebrating connection, creativity, and love for our local communities.

The Boise Flower and Garden Show is happening at Boise Centre West from 10am-6pm on Friday, 10am-6pm on Saturday, and 11am-4pm on Sunday. They’ll have everything from garden gadgets to art to orchids. You'll also find beautiful gardens, gardening seminars and demonstrations, and a bonsai display. Tix are $8 per day or $16 for all three when you purchase online, and $10 per day or $20 dos.

  • ​Wordsmith to Wu-Tang: Romanticism, Rap, and Nature is happening at Boise State University at 6pm tonight! It’s like Treefort, but you don’t need a wristband. From Wordsworth’s poetry to Kendrick Lamar’s metamorphic butterfly, nature has long been a source of healing, transformation, and artistic inspiration….. it's basically a speaker talking about lyrical geniuses. Sounds super cool!
  • ​Alton Brown is coming to the Morrison Center for his Last Bite tour tonight at 7:30pm!! Any Food Network fans out there?? You may remember him from Cutthroat Kitchen. Tix are $30-85.
  • ​Rainbows & Releves: Tutu School is having its Grand Opening in Meridian at 750 S Progress Avenue Suite #150. It’s a boutique ballet school for children 6 months to 8 years old with rainbow-themed twirling, crafting, treats, and tutus!

  • ​Serious Fun is happening at the Boise Phil with a program balancing sweeping romanticism and comedy from 7:30-9pm. This concert features instrumentalists from the Boise Phil, Boise Baroque, and Opera Idaho orchestras. Tix are $15.

  • ​The Psychology of a Murderer is happening at the Egyptian Theatre at 7:30pm. You'll gain a deeper understanding of what turns ordinary people into murderers. Whether you’re a true crime aficionado or wanna learn about the human mind, this should be an interesting one. Tix are $35-55. 13+
  • ​Strong Towns Boise is meeting up at Barbarian Brewing from 5:30-7pm on Wednesday to talk about the latest updates on Boise’s modern zoning code. Whether you’re a planner, advocate, developer, or just curious about how Boise is shaping its future growth, this is a great chance to get some insight.

  • ​Acting for Film is happening in The Green Room on Tuesday from 7-9pm. Students will learn techniques to create authentic, nuanced characters while adapting to the technical demands of film, such as hitting marks, understanding camera angles, and working with close-ups. Tix are $180.

  • ​Musical Monday is playing at the Comedy Lounge on Wednesday at 7pm. It’s an improv comedy band that blends humor with music to create a show that’s sure to leave you laughing. Tix are $30.
