Sat Oct 15: HOPtober FRESHtival is at Boise Brewing all day Saturday. Try more than 60 fresh hop & seasonal beers from 30+ local/regional breweries. Also try bike races from The Handlebar & enjoy live music. It's super fun & free to attend, tokens are $4.

Sat Oct 15: Check out the Fall Harvest at the Garden, happening 10am-3pm every Saturday in Oct at Idaho Botanical Garden. Enjoy the scarecrow Stroll, artisan vendors, food trucks, local beer, cider, and wine, & live music.

Sat Oct 15: Join the fall festival at Boise Urban Garden School. Starts at 12pm & it's free!

Sat Oct 15: Check out the Fall Craft Bazaar at Middleton Middle School. 70+ local vendors & free to attend.

Sat Oct 15: Notus Harvest Festival is happening 10am-3pm, with a car Show, music, food, hayrides, a pin-up girl competition & scarecrow expo.

Halloween prep

Fri Oct 14: Take a road trip to Weiser to see Fear Hear: Three Dark Radio Plays Performed Live at Snake River Heritage Center. Tix are $8. Sounds creepy (in a good way).

Sat Oct 15: Scary movie night. Go watch some movies at The Egyptian Theatre! Each movie is $5-$7 or buy a Fright Festival Film pass for $25 to see all of them.

Sat Oct 15: Bring your kid to Funtober Fest at the Nampa Rec Center. Carnival-style event with face-painting, costume contest, games, crafts & more. $5-$6, 1-3pm.

Sat Oct 15: Check out the annual Trunk or Treat and Food Drive at Jordan's Garden Center and Seasonal Market. Lots of fall activities, live music, & it's free! Starts at 2pm.

Sat Oct 15: Join the Vampire Ball at The Bishop's House from 6-9pm. Small bites, blood wine, prizes & more. Tix are $50.

Sat Oct 15: There's a Witches Ball happening at Whiskey River Bar in Nampa. Music, contests, a fortune teller & more. Starts at 9pm.

Mon Oct 17: Take your kid to Halloween Pie! A Music Adventure with Paige Moore at Nampa Library. Starts at 4pm & it's free!

Tue Oct 18: Story Story Late Night is hosting STORiES THAT STiLL HAUNT at VAC. It's 17 & starts at 8pm.

Wed Oct 19: Swing by the Haunted Hearse Trunk-Or-Treat at Relyea Funeral Chapel. It's free!

  • Sat Oct 15: it's Chicana Food's last day at the Boise Farmers Market! Go stock up for the holidays (& read my story about Chicana Foods). Also, the Farmers Market will be open 3 more weekends, until Oct 29.
  • Tue Oct 18: Join the 3rd Annual Ladies Who Love Beer at Hops & Bottles. Enjoy tastings, food, & meet other beer nerds. Tix are $35.
  • FYI: Parkside Market closed & a new one is going in. This overlooks the new park downtown.
  • Also (somewhat beer related): Lost Grove is looking for new artists to be their 2023 Artist in Residence. It's paid!
  • Lemon Tree has new menu items at the Parkcenter Location. Looks bomb.bom
  • I know I've talked about it before, but Piedaho is now making spooky pies & I'm even more obsessed. I want a Jason/Friday the 13th pie!

  • Th Oct 13-Fri Oct 21: Hot Asian Doctor Husband, a new play from Alley Rep Theater, is showing at VAC.
  • Fri Oct 14: Go see The Legend of Sleepy Hollow at The Danny Peterson Theatre inside The Morrison Center. Opening night is the 14th & it runs through the 30th. Tix are $40.
  • Fri Oct 14: Mountainfilm on Tour, a selection of culturally rich, adventure-packed, and inspiring documentary films. It's at The Egyptian at 7pm, tix are $20.
  • Sat Oct 15: Go do Autumn Yoga with Becca Hayes at Idaho Botanical Garden.
  • Sat Oct 15: The Ecogeoglyphic Observatory, a new work by local artist Teal Gardner, is opening at MING Studios at 6pm.
  • Wed Oct 19: True North Yoga is hosting a free Yoga Nidra (Sleep Yoga) Community Class at 12pm.
  • City Cast Boise recommends taking part in Ridge to Rivers' user survey to determine satisfaction with recent changes & perspectives for future changes to our trails system.*
