    This weekend is filled with wine + cider anniversary parties that pair nicely with free fries (sign me up 🍟) and live music.

    Bogus Basin Mountain Report

    Family-friendly summer activities, The Basin Gravity Park, cross-country mountain bike and hiking trails at Bogus Basin open next Friday, June 19th! Be sure to save the date for some of the mountain’s many ​Summer Events​ – from the ​Boise Mountain Bike Festival​, happening Saturday, June 27th, to this month’s free Guided Nature Programs, including a ​bow-drilling class​ and ​Birding with an Ornithologist​.

    Local and touring musicians perform on weekends & holidays throughout the season. Music on the Patio kicks off on Saturday, June 20th, and the first ​Music on the Mountain concert​ happens July 11th! Plus, enjoy ​free Yoga on the Mountain​ on Friday evenings, and Saturday & Sunday mornings. 😌

    Ten at the Pen with Meriwether Cider

    Saturday, June 13

    Meriwether Cider is celebrating 10 years in business with a free, all-ages party at the historic Old Idaho Penitentiary. The community throwdown features local food trucks, Idaho musicians, artists, and makers, plus cider, cocktails, and beer available for purchase. It’s their thank you to Boise for a decade of support.

    Noon to 6pm at the Old Idaho Penitentiary. It’s free!

    Thursday, June 11 – Saturday, June 13

    • ​Eagle Rodeo​ is happening in Eagle nightly at 7:30pm. It’s three nights of PRCA rodeo action with themed evenings including Military Appreciation Night (June 11), Tough Enough to Wear Pink (June 12), and Burnout Red (June 13), plus mutton busting, youth steer riding, and after-parties each night. Tix from $25.

    Thursday, June 11 – Sunday, June 14

    • ​Boise Hawks vs. Idaho Falls Chukars​ is happening at Memorial Stadium at 7:05pm nightly (Sunday’s game at 1:05pm). It’s a four-game home series with nightly specials including Thirsty Thursday, Firework Friday, a Crew Sock Giveaway on Saturday, and Kids Club Sunday with Dollar Dog Day. Tix from $25.

    Friday, June 12

    • ​Scanners​ is screening at the Idaho Film Society from 7–9pm. It’s David Cronenberg’s 1981 sci-fi horror classic about people with terrifying telepathic and telekinetic powers. 21+.
    • ​FRYdaho!​ is happening at JUMP Park from 4–7pm. It’s Simplot’s annual free community celebration of all things Idaho. Expect free fries and beef sliders, drinks, music, and entertainment. It’s free!

    Saturday, June 13

    • ​Hot Rod​ is screening at the Idaho Film Society from 7–9pm. It’s the 2007 Andy Samberg comedy about a delusional amateur stuntman with big dreams and even bigger wipeouts. 21+.
    • ​Move the Valley | Global Wellness Day​ is happening at Green Acres Food Truck Park from 9am–2pm. It’s a free outdoor wellness event hosted by F45 Training Downtown Boise featuring a group workout, optional run/walk, live DJ sets, and local wellness vendors. It’s free!
    • ​All In Street Futbol Fest​ is happening at JUMP Lawn from 10am–6pm. It’s a free community event hosted by Global Lounge, JUMP, and Tropico FM featuring fast-paced 3-on-3 street soccer, skill challenges, music, and local vendors. Youth ages 9–18 can play, and everyone is welcome to watch. It’s free!
    • ​The Drawing Board​ is happening at JUMP’s MAKE Studio from 11am–2pm. It’s a still life drawing class led by David Kline that goes beyond the basics, using unconventional materials like iridescent mylar, charred wood, and pressed botanicals to expand your mark-making range. It’s free! 8+.
    • ​Terra-Tactile: Big Machines in the Park!​ is happening at Bernie Fisher Park in Kuna from 11am–2pm. It’s a hands-on event where kids and families can climb on and explore trucks, emergency response vehicles, heavy farm machinery, and more, plus food trucks on site. It’s free!
    • ​Weave Gold Pop-Up​ is happening at Ease (108 N. Latah St.) from 11am–2pm. It’s a chance to try on and shop pieces from Boise-based slow fashion jewelry designer Weave Gold. It’s free!
    • ​Pride Resource Fair ’26​ is happening at Library! at Hillcrest from 10am–2pm. It’s a free all-ages event bringing together local organizations offering resources in housing, employment, legal assistance, health, and more — a welcoming space to connect with affirming services and celebrate Pride. It’s free!

    Sunday, June 14

    • ​One Sings, the Other Doesn’t​ is screening at the Idaho Film Society from 7–9pm. It’s Agnès Varda’s 1977 feminist drama following the friendship of two women across a decade of change in France. 21+
    • ​Dig into Geodes!​ is happening at the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology from 10am–1pm. It’s a hands-on geode-cracking event plus a 40-minute hillside geology hike. Every registered child gets a free geode. Tix are $10 for adult non-members, $5 for kids. IMMG members get in free.
    • ​Mindful Movement: A Civic Season Flow​ is happening at the Idaho State Museum from 10am–noon. It’s a special Civic Season drop-in event to slow down, stretch, and recharge at one of Boise’s favorite cultural spots. It’s free!
    • ​The Boise Flea​ is happening at Boise State’s East Stadium Lot from 10am–4pm. It’s a beloved monthly outdoor flea market with 150+ vendors selling vintage finds, handmade goods, antiques, and surprises. It’s free!
    • ​Canyon County Pride Festival​ is happening at Lakeview Park in Nampa from 11am–7pm. It’s the third annual celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in Canyon County, featuring live music, food, vendors, and a welcoming space for all. It’s free!

    Tuesday, June 16

    • ​Tuesday Night Market at Green Acres​ is happening at Green Acres Food Truck Park from 5–9pm every Tuesday through August 4. It’s a weekly pop-up market with local makers, handmade goods, vintage finds, food trucks, and a fresh mix of vendors each week. It’s free!

    Tuesday, June 16 – Wednesday, June 17

    • ​Snake River Stampede​ is happening at Ford Idaho Center in Nampa nightly at 7:30pm. It’s one of the top professional rodeos in the nation, featuring bull riding, barrel racing, and more. Plus nightly amphitheater after-parties with live music (Check out Tunes and shows section for those deets). Tix from $51.

    Wednesday, June 17

    • ​June Hops ‘N Homes​ is happening at Barbarian Brewing Downtown Beer Bar at 6pm. It’s a free monthly homebuyer seminar where first-time buyers can learn the ins and outs of purchasing a home in Boise, drinks included. It’s free! 21+

    • ​Boise Brewing 12th Anniversary Party​ is happening at Boise Brewing from 6–10pm. It’s an Olympics-style game night celebrating 12 years, with wacky events like Pin the Pint to the Hand, blind taste testing, mini golf, and more. It’s free!

    • ​Summer Bubbles​ is happening at House of Wine from 6:30–7:30pm. It’s a guided tasting of five sparkling wines spanning Prosecco, Cava, California sparkling, and Champagne, exploring different winemaking techniques. Tix are $45.

    Thursday, June 11 – Sunday, June 14

    • ​Mamma Mia!​ is playing at the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts with multiple showtimes daily. It’s the beloved Broadway musical featuring ABBA’s greatest hits, telling the story of a mother, a daughter, three possible dads, and a wedding on a sun-soaked Greek island. Tix start at $60.

    Thursday, June 11 – Saturday, June 13

    • ​Macbeth​ is playing at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival Amphitheater at 8pm (closing night Saturday, June 13). It’s Shakespeare’s classic tale of ambition, power, and moral corruption, part of ISF’s milestone 50th season, with pre-show music each night. Bring a chair or blanket and a picnic. Tix from $26.

    Thursday, June 11

    • ​Jim Gaffigan: Everything is Wonderful Tour​ is happening at ExtraMile Arena at 7pm. It’s the beloved food-obsessed comedian’s latest arena tour, bringing his signature observational humor and Hot Pocket jokes to a big stage. Tix from $64.
    • ​Liquid Laughs Comedy Open Mic​ is happening at Liquid Laughs Underground inside the Solid Cellar at 9:30pm (sign-ups at 9pm). It’s a weekly drop-in open mic hosted by Rasheed Jello. A great place to catch up-and-coming local comics in an intimate basement setting. It’s free!

    Friday, June 12

    • ​Karen Morgan​ is performing at The Comedy Lounge at 7pm. She’s a former trial attorney turned nationally touring clean comedian with two Dry Bar specials and a Sirius XM album, known for hilarious and relatable stories of growing up in the 70s and 80s. Tix are $25. 2 drink minimum.
    • ​Stop! That! Train! ExDRAGaganza​ is happening at The Flicks at 7pm. Local drag performers Chrome, Mz. Wafer, and Kara Mel kick off the opening night of RuPaul’s new camp comedy disaster film with a pre-show performance, included with your movie ticket. Tix are $10.
    • ​Please Clap Entertainment: A Standup Comedy Show​ is happening at Liquid Laughs Underground at 8pm. It’s a standup showcase hosted by Natasha Dash featuring Ben Hess, LJ Sullivan, Eric Cole, and Alisha Donahue. Tix are $25.
    • ​Lectures by Lushes: A Drunken Lecture Series​ is happening at The Balcony Club at 7pm. It’s a monthly comedy show that’s Ted Talks meets Drunk History. Five speakers tackle wildly different topics while completely hammered. Tix from $17.85. 21+.

    • ​Harlem Nights Comedy Open Mic​ is happening at the Liquid Lounge at 10pm (sign-ups at 9:30pm). It’s a free weekly open mic with a Harlem jazz lounge vibe. Grab a spot on the list or just come to watch. It’s free!
    • ​Big Jay Oakerson: Greatest Yapper Alive​ is happening at the Egyptian Theatre at 7pm. It’s a stand-up comedy show from the sharp, high-energy NYC comedian known for his no-holds-barred crowd work and storytelling. Tix from $64.
