BREAKING NEWS: Boise’s bringing the heat this weekend ⛱️
Don’t hit snooze on sunshine, mimosas with mom, or pulling a few strings to make room for something new. Whether you're mixing it up with some roller derby action or popping by the plant sale to snag a fresh new friend, this weekend is all about showing up, clearing out, and letting the good stuff grow. Plus, this Saturday is so stacked, it could've had its own newsletter.
Here's what's going on in Boise this weekend:

Saturday, May 10
- Motherhood: A Comedy Show is happening at Recycled Minds at 8pm on Saturday. From the sleepless nights to the moments of pure joy, this show celebrates the wild ride that comes with having kids. Tix are $16 for adults, $6 for kids ages 5-12, and free for 6 & under.
- Art Source Gallery is having a Mother’s Day Celebration from 10am-3pm on Saturday. They will have fun activities for the whole family including making friendship bracelets, painting a watercolor card, or tasting hot teas and mocktails. Baked goods and flower bouquets will also be available for purchase. It’s free!!
- There will be Food Trucks & Mimosas at Jordan’s Garden Center from 2-6pm on Saturday. Bring the whole family and enjoy a day filled with laughter, delicious food, and live music. There will also be plenty of flowers to go around!
- The GemState 208 Market is happening at the Farm Estates Park in Kuna from 9am-4pm in celebration of Mother’s Day. The first 77 moms to show up will receive a free rose and raffle tickets! There will also be tons of seasonal vendors and delicious bites & sips.
- Indian Creek Plaza is having a Mother’s Day Market from 10am-3pm on Saturday. Enjoy live music, sip mimosas, and explore all of their vintage vendors. Nothing says Mother’s Day like some light shopping :)
Saturday, May 10 - Sunday, May 11
- Victory Gardens Nursery is having a Mother’s Day Market from 9am-5pm both days. They will be showcasing over 75 unique vendors, kids activities and a raffle giveaway! Plus, there’s a new boutique houseplant boutique, coffee shop, and a greenhouse full of annual plants and veggies.
Sunday, May 11
- The Mothers Day Music Festival is happening at Heritage Social Club at 4pm on Sunday. There will be live music from Rubbah Tree + Heaven Zest + The Alley Kats + Sunsmith + Cariies. From rootsy reggae and jam-rock to soul and funky grooves, this is a show you don’t want to miss. All ages are welcome. Tix are $15 in adv, or $20 at the door. Celebrate moms with music, drinks, and flowers in bloom!
- The Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet is happening at Baraboo Supper Club in Hotel Renegade from 9am-2:30pm on Sunday. Tix are $50 per person, $29 for ages 65+, $20 for kids ages 6-12, and 5 & under are free. Come hungry for this one!!
- Parcero Wine Bar is having a Mother’s Day Celebration from 12-6pm on Sunday. There will be permanent jewelery, a charcuterie bar, and $10 bubbles!! Grab your girls, sip some bubbly, and treat yourself today.
- Stella’s Ice Cream is doing a FREE single scoop of ice cream for moms from 12-10pm at their locations in Downtown Boise, Eagle, Nampa, and Caldwell!!
- Campfire Stories are back at the Modern Hotel under the gingkos from 7-9pm. This week’s theme is in celebration of Mother’s Day :)
- Dueling Pianos is happening at Watson’s Mystery Cafe for Mother’s Day from 6-8:30pm. Tix are $15-$50.
- There’s a Peruvian Festival happening at Heroes Park in Meridian from 11:30am-6pm with the Machu Picchu Food Truck in celebration of Mother’s Day!! Bring your mom and enjoy a day in the park!

Celebrate one of the Old Idaho Penitentiary's most beloved purrsonalities during the fifth annual Dennis the Cat Day!
Enjoy an afternoon of music, food trucks, and fun activities like history presentations on prison pets, a scavenger hunt, games (Pin the Tail on Dennis), and more! Local pet supply vendors and new Dennis merch will also be on hand to stock up and show support for your furry friends.
Save the date: Saturday, May 24, 12-5pm (last admission at 4pm). All ages are welcome.
Bring unopened pet food for free entry to the Prison Pets history presentations! Donations benefit the Idaho Humane Society and Simply Cats.

- Play Day is happening at Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park from 10am-2pm. New this year will be a Cornhole Tournament from 11am-2pm along with pickleball lessons at 10:30am & 12:30pm and Club Pilates at 11am. Kids can learn how to jump rope, fish, and more!! Timber Creek Recycling will also be on-site to help fill bike tires with complimentary air and slime sealant. Kids who bring along their bicycle and helmet can participate in a Bicycle Safety Rodeo taught by officers from the Meridian Police Bicycle Patrol. There will be live music from Niccole Blaze + Mo Kelly, better known at Blaze and Kelly. Tix are $5 per two-person team. Open to all ages. You can register here!!

- Roaring Springs is having their opening weekend, open from 11am-7pm on Saturday and Sunday. They’ll also be having their brand new Dive-In Movies every Saturday night starting June 21st. Tix are $50.99 for a day pass or $169.99 for a season pass, available until Friday, May 9th. A perfect weekend for the waterpark!

- Where Art Begins is happening at the James Castle House from 5:30-8pm. You’ll get to explore the connections between James Castle's art and his Boise home and share the ways in which Castle’s artwork reflected and influenced the architecture. Tix are $10.
- Beautifully Imperfect is happening at JUMP from 7-8pm. This is a dance concert celebrating imperfection in ourselves and the natural world. Tix are $10-$20.

- The 2025 Famous Motel Cowboys Reunion is happening at the Visual Arts Collective. The Famous Motel Cowboys will be performing alongside tons of incredible local country artists. There will also be food available right outside the venue. Tix are $20 on Friday & Saturday, and free on Sunday! 21+
- The Goat (1921) and Battle of the Century (1927) are playing at the Egyptian Theatre for Silent Movie Week starting at 12pm. It’s free!!

- Stockton to Table Rock is playing at The Flicks from May 9-15. This is an Idaho-made coming-of-age film about mental health. Tix are $8-$10.
Saturday, May 10
- Boise Hempfest is happening at Julia Davis Park from 10am-10pm. This is a family friendly, educational event open to all. Hang out in the beer garden, check out the live entertainment (there will be fire dancers woo!!), and grab a bite from the Munchie Market along the way!! Dogs and children are welcome. No smoking onsite.
- There’s an Alleycat Race happening with Boise Bicycle Project from 11am-3pm. Teams of 3-5 will solve a series of riddles around Boise. Rider check in begins at 10:30am and the ride starts at 11am sharp. It ends at 3pm. Expect about 15-20 miles of riding depending on your route. Don’t forget to register beforehand!!
- Make your own Bloom Box at Zen Riot from 2-4pm on Saturday. You’ll get to craft your very own wellness box, featuring a stainless steel tumbler, tea-making essentials, and a fresh floral arrangement. Top it all off with a butterfly pea tea cocktail. Tix are $45. Reserve your spot now!!
- The Children’s Entrepreneur Market is happening in Hyde Park from 10am-1pm. It’s a Farmer’s Market run completely by kids with face painting, balloon artists, and more. The Maypole Market will also be happening at this time!!
- Wildflower Journaling is happening with Lenses & Brushes from 10-11:30am. You get the chance to slow down, observe, and capture the beauty of wildflowers in the Boise foothills. Tix are $25.
- Teen Takeover is happening at JUMP from 7-9pm This event is for teens ages 14-18 only. There will be a silent disco this time around, plus shirt upcycling and rock painting. It’s free, but you’ll need to reserve a spot beforehand :)
- Pop The Top is happening at Sturman’s Wine & Cigars starting at 6pm. This is their annual patio opening party. There will also be live music from Andrew Chappell and food from Cosmic Crepes.
- The Blossoms & Bruises Roller Derby is happening at Expo Idaho starting at 3pm. Doors open at 2pm. The main event begins at 7pm. Tix are $17, $5 for ages 6-17, and children 5 & under are free. Day of tix for the last game are available at the door for $10 (final game only)!!
- Cars & Coffee is happening at Spitfire Tacos + Tequila in Eagle from 8-10am. They will also be serving up delicious breakfast burritos and fresh coffee.
- The Eagle Saturday Market is happening at Eagle City Hall from 9am-1pm. You can expect to find fresh produce and flowers, handmade goods, artisan pieces, and local food.
- Sheep in the Foothills is happening at Avimor from 10am-3pm. You’ll see sheep dogs in action, wool spinning & weaving, sheep shearing, and do a lamb taste-test. It’s free!!

- Spark! Artist Circle is happening at Catalyst Arts Collaborative from 6-8pm. Each month, they'll open our doors to creatives to come and share their latest inspired works based on a word of their choosing. This month’s word is courage! Be sure to RSVP here beforehand.

- Sunshine and Summer Whites is happening at House of Wine from 6:30-7:30pm. You’ll explore five different white wines from Europe. Tix are $45.

- The 3100 is playing at the Egyptian Theatre at 6:30pm featuring some of the most rugged, remote, and revered river systems on Earth. This film explores the marvelous rivers that define Idaho’s spirit. It’s free!!

- Hops N’ Homes is having their FREE class for first-time home buyers at Barbarian Brewing from 6-7:30pm.
