Dennis the Cat Day is happening at the Old Idaho Penitentiary from 12-5pm this Saturday. Celebrate the legacy of Dennis, the beloved black-and-white kitty who roamed the prison grounds from 1952 to 1968 and became the only inmate buried within its walls. There'll be history presentations, a scavenger hunt, games like Pin the Tail on Dennis, food trucks, local pet vendors, a no-host bar, and new Dennis merch. Tix are $12 and if you bring unopened pet food, you can attend the history presentations for free. Donations benefit the Idaho Humane Society and Simply Cats. Don’t hit paws on this one!!

There’s a Car Show happening at Expo Idaho from 11am-7pm this Saturday!! Get ready for a day packed with classic lowriders, vendors, delicious food, and non-stop music. Too $hort will also be coming for a performance! The Public Works Week Expo is happening at Meridian City Hall from 5:15-9pm. This is a chartered bus tour where community members can sign up to visit several city facilities, such as the Water Tower, a Lift Station, and the Wastewater Resource Recovery Facility. Did we mention there will be free hot dogs and popcorn?

Honey Brown Eyes is playing at the Visual Arts Collective at 7pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The story of two young men, once friends, and the connection that will tie them forever; their love of music and the unimaginable horror of war. Tix are $30 and Thursday is a pay-what-you-can preview. The show runs through June 31st.
