💌 Things to do in Boise March 20-26

I LOVE BOISE SAY IT BACK!!! This just in: Boise is lonely... but not in the way you might think. Sooo what's going on in Boise this weekend?

Clothing is being swapped, bought, and traded. Dogs and fairies are finding homes. We're bringing house music to light and getting comfortable in the space between. There's also tons of comedy shows and plays!!

Who's ready to make some new connections this weekend?

Lonely for spring break?

Friday, March 21 - Saturday, March 22

Lonely Ghost is having a Spring Break Pop-up at the Village in Meridian from 12-9pm on Saturday and 10am-9pm on Sunday. Let's face it.. we've all had that aching feeling. As a brand, Lonely Ghost is here to flip the script of what it means to be "lonely". From clothing that starts conversations, to that universal feeling you get when you see someone else wearing the brand, Lonely Ghost is more than the clothes you wear. It's a mindset and a way of being that promotes real human connection! You're never really lonely, you just need to find the right people :)

Come on down!!

Thursday, March 20

Creative Women’s Collective is hosting a Clothing Swap in partnership with Boise Fashion Week TONIGHT from 5:30-7pm at 208 W 37th St #104. You can RSVP here. A great chance to find some unique pieces or get rid of your pre-loved treasures!! No money? No problem. Bring whatever you feel comfortable trading and be ready to leave with a few new CWC friends plus new-to-you gems :)

Bring the house up

Sunday, March 23

Coffee & House is pushing house music & pouring drip (coffee lol) at an undisclosed location near the Greenbelt in Garden City from 12-5pm this Sunday afternoon!! There will be 5+ DJ sets including genres like underground house, progressive house, drum & bass, and more. Coffee, pastries, people, and house music. What’s not to love??

Here’s a little bit more info if you’re curious about the music itself! House music is considered a direct descendant of disco/funk/soul, originating in the 1980’s and characterized by a repetitive beat typically ranging from 115-130 BPM. The build & drop structure of house music triggers a timed release of dopamine and can aid in focus and concentration due to it’s mentally stimulating soundscape (you can read more about neurodiversity & dance music here!!). Simply put, the anticipation and release of tension is very satisfying for our silly human brains.

Under the Trees is a registered nonprofit in Boise, dedicated to building community and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all. I’ve only been to a couple so far, but they were so much fun!! It’s the perfect place to bring friends, fly solo, or go on a fun date :)

This one is FREE, but you’ll need to get on the guest list!! If you’re ready to let loose, or just wanna enjoy house music in a casual environment, you'll love this. You better be ready cause Under the Trees is bringing house music to light this weekend!
