It's that time of year again. Boise’s got the big show in the park, but if you’re down to wander, there are parades, pie contests, fun runs, and plenty of places to ooh and aah all across the valley (and beyond). Just remember: no dogs, no drones, and definitely no glass. Let freedom ring but like... safely.

Fireworks in Boise & beyond
Friday, July 4
Ann Morrison Park: Festivities begin at 6pm and the fireworks show starts at dusk (around 10:15pm). There will be food trucks and beer & wine available for purchase. Keep in mind the park will be closed to vehicles all day but patrons are welcome to use rideshare, walk, scooter, or ride a bike. No dogs or drones allowed. Also no glass of any kind!!
The Meridian Independence Day Festival is happening at Storey Park and the Meridian Speedway starting at 4pm. The fireworks show happens after dusk. There will be live music from local artists Poverty Flats + Guilty Pleasure and food options like Coned, Daisy’s Italian Ice & Gelati, acai bowls, tacos, and more. No glass or personal fireworks permitted.
Caldwell fireworks are at Brother’s Park and Memorial Park at dusk. During the day there’s also a fun run, parade, bounce houses, car show, food trucks, and more.
The Star Hometown Celebration is happening at Star City Hall with the fireworks show after dusk. There’s fun stuff going on all day, starting with a fun run at 8am, parade, food trucks, pie competition, and more. They’ll also have a shuttle service this year.
The Kuna 4th of July Celebration will be at Bernie Fisher Park with a mini food truck rally and fireworks!!
Melba fireworks are part of the Olde Tyme "Let Sparks Fly" 4th of July festival. There’s a parade, antique tractor pull, activities all day, and fireworks at dusk.
There’s a 4th of July Festival at Tamarack from July 3-5, starting with live music and wine tastings on Thursday. There will be a parade and fireworks in Donnelly and Cascade on Friday followed by yoga on Saturday morning, music on the marina, music on the mountain, and more.
The Lakeside Liberty Fest is in McCall, which has a lot of events, including a volleyball tournament, yoga in the park, movies, food vendors, and more.

Friday, July 4
4th of July Country Night is happening at Shrine Social Club starting at 6pm with live performances from Cole Brooks Band + Chance & Lexi + Johnny Shoes + Dan Costello + Red Beard & Co. Tix are $13.32.
Green Acres Food Truck Park is having a 4th of July Celebration from 11am-9pm. The perfect place to hang out before you walk down to Ann Morrison to watch the fireworks.
Red, White & Rooftop is happening at The Highlander at 7pm. Tix are $100. Best view in the city for fireworks!!
There’s a Firework Float happening at Quinn’s Pond at 6pm. There will be a BBQ and fireworks. It’s free!
Bogus Basin has free live music, yoga, sound baths, scenic tours, and more happening all weekend. Great option if you are looking to beat the heat!

Thursday, July 3
- First Thursday is happening in Downtown Boise from 5-9pm. It’s a choose-your-own adventure kind of night, perfect for a casual stroll, spontaneous discovery, or a planned night out with friends. Check out the Flamenco Performance at Ocho’s from 8-10pm with Cuadro Nuevo Flamenco. 21+ only please!
- First Thursday Vintage Vibes Pop-Up Market is happening at Treefort Music Hall from 6-9:30pm. Shop local makers, enjoy live music, and grab a bite along the way.
- Rockeoke First Thursday is also happening at Green Acres Food Truck Park from 6-9pm. Get up on stage and be joined by a live band! Perfect way to kick off the weekend :)
- The Art Haus Night Market is happening at Art Haus Bar from 5-9pm. There will be hot honey, sake, pottery, wine, coffee, and more!!
- West Bench Farmers Market is happening from 5-9pm at the Idaho Capitol Plaza. Shop a variety of global vendors, produce, and more!! Check out our story here.
- Juried Artist Exhibition at Art Source Gallery from 5-9pm with live music from the Midnight Jazz Cats. It’s free and open to the public.
- The Sandlot is playing at Indian Creek Plaza for Movies on the Plaza from 7-9pm. It’s free!

- There’s a Love Island Watch Party happening at Black Dog Bar from 7:30-8:30pm. It’s free!! Calling all bombshells lol.

- The Meridian Monday Night Market is happening at Storey Park from 4-9pm. There will be local farmers, gardeners, handcrafted artisans, service providers, and more. It’s free!!
Food finds & things to drink
New food truck park
- State St Food Truck Park is Boise’s newest food truck park located on 3508 W State St. Spitfire Tacos + Tequila and Darjeeling Momo will be there this weekend!! Check out their Instagram to stay in the loop!
Italian food finds
- Ti Amo is a cozy new Italian spot in Bown Crossing and it looks to die for!! If you try it out, hit ‘reply’ and let me know whatcha think.
- North Italia in Meridian is a new favorite. I highly recommend the spicy vodka pasta and the bread with good olive oil. I will be thinking about the bread for a while.

- Brunch & Board Games are happening at Meriwether Cider Co from 10am-1pm. The Gettin' Spot will be serving awesome food, Phoenix Fire Games will bring a bunch of awesome games to play for free, and of course Meriwether will be pouring the good stuff!!

- Enjoy a Summer Mojito Flight at Swirl Wine Shop in Nampa from 5-9pm. It’s $15 for a flight, or $10 for a single mojito.

- There’s a Free Improv Jam happening at Recycled Minds from 7-10pm. Hop up on stage and try it out!! All ages are welcome.
