đź’Ś Things to do in Boise Jan 2-8

First newsletter of 2025! This week's newsletter is the calm before the storm and the time you have to gather yourself before the year fully takes off.

It’s full of sweet moments, food for the soul, and early nights to plan the year ahead. It’s being intentional with our time and grounding after the holidays. Seeing beauty in the mundane and making more space for art, whether that’s crafting this year's vision board or going to a gallery opening (or both!).

Life's a marathon not a race so don’t get too caught up in the details and make some time to try something new this week!

Dream year starts here

Sunday, January 5

  • DreamScape - Mega Dose is happening at Shrine Social Club starting at 10am. Doors open at 9:30am. This breathwork class aligns perfectly with the new year, helping you unlock creative potential and move deeper into mind-body synchronicity. This type of breathing is more feminine in nature, leaning into a more soft and gentle approach. The workshop will begin with meditation and finish with a grounding movement practice. Tix are $40 each in adv, $77 for two, or $45 each at the door. 18+

Something sweet is buzzing into the valley!

Friday, January 3 - Friday, February 7

  • Honeycomb will bee on display at local gem Roots Zero Waste Market with its opening celebration happening this Friday from 5-9pm. The event is hosted by Miss Wondersmith, a PNW artist who hosts special pop-ups for strangers. On Friday, you’ll bee able to take part in building this buzz-worthy interactive art display followed by a community celebration. This is the perfect way to kickstart the new year with intention and join our community in creating something wonderful. It wraps up with a closing celebration on February 7. Help spread the word on this free-bee! All parts of this magic-making are free, open to the public, and family friendly.

Note: Miss Wondersmith posed this thoughtful question in her recent collaborative post: ”What kind of sweetness are you hoping for in the new year?” Here’s a few responses I thought were sweet… “I’m hoping for the sweetness of love, understanding, and acceptance. Our world is in need of some gentleness.” -@stina_stardust, “The continued opportunity to be kind to myself. The furtherance of friendships new and old. Perhaps a sweet dog.” -Amber Williams. Feel free to leave a comment on her post and spread the love this month!
