Farmers Markets are back

It's officially spring and that means Farmers Markets are back! There's a few new markets this year too.

Tuesdays: Indian Creek Plaza has a Farm to Fork Farmers Market and live music every Tuesday, starting May 17.

These markets have an emphasis towards New Americans from the greater Boise community. Wednesday will spotlight food, farmers and backyard gardeners & Saturday will focus on artisans and craftsmen, as well as food.

Saturdays: Boise Farmers Market Walk-Thru Market opened on April 2 & is open every Saturday rain or shine. This is the spot for locally grown produce, protein, flowers & farm goods.

Saturdays: Capital City Public Market is opening next Saturday, April 16. It's located on the Grove Plaza this year. This market has lots of produce and farm goodies, plus goods from artists and makers.

Saturdays: Meridian Main Street Market is also opening on Saturday, April 16. Lots of local goods here. It's located on Broadway at City Hall, between Meridian Road and Main Street.

Saturdays: Nampa Farmers Market is opening April 16 as well. It's located in Lloyd Square and has local produce, arts, and more.

Barbarian Brewing has a new spot

I got to check out Barbarian Brewing's new spot in Garden City last night and let me tell ya folks, it's friggin cool. I didn't realize how close it was to the Greenbelt – it's like one block off the belt, almost next door to Telaya Wine Co.

Things to love about Barbarian Brewing in GC:

  • They have 20+ original beers on tap & they change constantly.
  • Amazinggg sour beers, IPAs & funky beers. Plus delish regular, easy-drinking beers.
  • Also have NA drinks, wine & seltzers.
  • Dogs allowed on the patio (it's huge) & kids allowed until 6pm.
  • Kismet Kitchen is onsite all the time!
  • Gorgeous & kinda spooky mural by Sector Seventeen.
  • Super bikeable/walkable/skateable from Greenbelt.
  • Everyone who works there is so darn nice!!
