Tunes & shows

More good shows coming up! Winter seems to be slow around here for music, so make sure to go out and support your local music scene. After being dark for more than a year, everyone needs it.

Food finds & beer news

  • Happy 4th bday Lost Grove Brewing! Lost Grove might be one of the most generous businesses in the Boise & they deserve a very happy bday celebration from all of us. Live music, food, beer, and friends. Thanks for all you do in Boise, Lost Grove!
  • Western Collective has a new California-style IPA that will be released tomorrow (Friday).
  • Also: Western Collective has a monthly "yappy hour" which is essentially a dog happy hour. It's today (Sept 30) from 5-8pm & benefits the West Valley Humane Society.
  • Barbarian Brewing has two new beers dropping today. The Nectaron 5000, which is a Hazy IPA, and a Huckleberry Cheesecake dessert ale. Yum!
  • Another Unwind at Five is happening tonight (Sept 30) out at Indian Creek Plaza.
  • More Oktoberfests this weekend. Powderhaus Brewing Oktoberfest (part II) is Friday & Saturday; Bodovino at the Village has some Oktoberfest events over the weekend.
  • I ate at The Sammie Shack like 50 times last week & now I love it. It's at Crooked Fence Brewing on Friday & Saturday. The caprese sammy is off the charts.
  • Wepa!, a new Puerto Rican restaurant has finally opened in Garden City. BoiseDev has that story for you.
  • And a lil note from Nathan about Delucas: Last night my wife and I went to Deluca’s for the first time. They’ve been open since December, but I hadn’t been in yet since they took over the space from Ha’penny. Actually, the last time I was there was during a Boise State game and there was a big bar fight. Now the vibe is entirely different. The rowdy Irish bar has been replaced with a classy Italian restaurant. We went all in on apps, particularly loved the mushroom toast, burrata and grilled peaches & the clams. Our server, Matthew, was really fun. If you haven't yet - check it out! PS - they have live music several times a week.
