Wednesday plans: party in the park

Like free shows & park parties? The Morrison Center and Lost Grove Brewing teamed up to host *free* neighborhood concerts all summer long in public parks across Boise. All shows are on Wednesday evenings from 6-8:30pm. Walk or bike or roll on down to the park for live local music, food trucks, drinks from Lost Grove, and good ol' fashion neighborhood fun.

Here's the schedule:

Happy dad's day!

Let's be real, he just wants a good nap and a tasty meal, but here's a few Father's Day events just in case you want to take Dad out and about:

Tunes & shows

This weekend: your Saturday plans should be to catch Angel Abaya's free show at KIN (listen) and then mosey on over to Spacebar for a groovy set from DJ Mossback & DJ IGA.

Some goood shows announced from Duck Club recently: Poolside DJ Set + Brijean at Idaho Botanical Garden on August 4; Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange) at Idaho Botanical Garden on August 20; Grateful Shred at The Olympic on October 2.

Lots of good shows coming up this month! (band* = local)

Just trust me...

and go check out some out of town events. There's some cool mountain stuff going on this month that makes for a good excuse to go explore.

North Fork Championship is a competition for some of the best kayakers in the world, held on the North Fork of the Payette River in Crouch, Idaho. It starts today and goes through the weekend. Good times up there.

Emmett Cherry Festival is happening right now in Emmett (duh) through Saturday, June 19. Cherry pie, contests, games, you name it.

The Weiser River Music Festival is next weekend, June 25-26, in the cute little town of Weiser. Tickets are on sale online or at the gate.
