Supersized First Thursday is back
And it kicks off TONIGHT, May 2!
SUPERSIZED First Thursdays bring free performances from local artists, activities, and fun activations to downtown Boise. In addition, dozens of downtown businesses are open late, have in-store tastings, host local art exhibits, and so much more.
Here's a few things to look forward to at First Thursday TONIGHT:
Meriwether Cider House is doing a DIY seed bomb workshop
City Peanut Shop has a wine + nut pairing with Proletariat Wines
Green Acres Food Truck Park has $1 off Idaho beers & drinks, plus a bunch of food trucks and live music
Barbarian Downtown Beer Bar has music bingo and new beer

Fri May 3: First Friday Artisan Market is happening at Agape Coffeehouse in Payette from 3-7pm. Shop local vendors and enjoy live music, coffee drinks and a kids playground.
Sat Apr 27:Boise Farmers Market is happening from 9am-1pm at 1500 Shoreline Drive in Boise. This one is a food-focused market. Also fyi no dogs allowed.
Sat Apr 27:Capital City Public Market is happening from 9:30am-1:30pm on the Grove Plaza in downtown Boise. Art, baked goods, produce, herbs and spices, clothing, jewelry, and more.
Sat Apr 27:Meridian Main Street Market is happening from 9am-2pm at City Hall Plaza & next to Meridian City Hall. Find fresh produce, artisan goods, crafts, and more.
Sat Apr 27: Nampa Farmers Market is having its grand opening from 9am-1:30pm in Lloyd Square Park in Nampa. Tons of vendors to shop!
Sat May 4:Eagle Saturday Market kicks off this weekend! It’s from 9am-2pm at Eagle City Hall Campus. There’s food and craft vendors, and live music.
Sat May 4:The Children’s Entrepreneur Market is happening from 8:30am-2pm at Bear Creek Park (2400 S Stoddard Rd) in Meridian. Shop businesses that are all run by local kids!
Sat May 4:The Makers Market is happening at The Village at Meridian from 12-6pm.
Sun Apr 28:36th Street Sunday Market is happening at Sockeye Alehouse. There's an eclectic mix of items from spices, artwork/crafts, fresh produce, and more. Goes 10am-2pm, and brunch is served in the Alehouse next door!

Star Wars Saturday
Sat May 4: Idaho Film Society is screening Star Wars: A New Hope at 1pm, the Unaltered Theatrical Version, at 1pm. It's free! This one is my fave - I love young Luke Skywalker lol.
Sat May 4: Gem State Brewing is having a Star Wars Day Celebration starting at 12pm. There will be Star Wars themed beers, an appearance by R2-D2, photo opportunities, and BBQ.
Sat May 4:Re-POP Gifts is hosting a May the Fourth event from 10am-7pm with character photo-ops. Also if you come in your favorite Star Wars costume you get 10% off your entire purchase, and if you spend $50 or more you get a reusable Re-POP tote bag, a FREE Star Wars tea towel and a Star Wars pin-back button.
Sat May 4: It’s Free Comic Book Day at Captain Comics (710 S Vista Ave, Boise). You can choose up to 5 books (10 per group/family) AND if you dress up you can pick 2 more books from the selection available. Goes 9am-6pm.
Sat May 4: Mad Swede Brew Hall is hosting Scum & Villainy, a live Star Wars Roleplaying Game from 8-10pm. Tix are $20 and are going fast.
Sat May 4: There’s a Star Wars Improv Comedy Show at Recycled Minds Comedy in Garden City. Tix are $15 online, $20 at the door or $5 for kids age 5-12. Starts at 8pm.
Cinco de Mayo Sunday
Fri May 3 - Sun May 5: It’s Cinco De Maddie’s at Maddie’s Wine and Whiskey bar in Meridian from 11am-8pm each day. There will be live music and food & drink specials. The event is 21+.
Sat May 4: Garibaldis in Garden City is having a Cinco De Mayo Block Party starting at 5pm. There will be drink and taco specials going on during this event & multiple DJ’s performing throughout the night.
Sat May 4:Huston Vineyards is doing a Cinco De Vino Rose Release. Enjoy their 2023 vintage and a taco meal and salsa bar by Swine Thyme Catering, plus live music and a special performance by Ballet Folklorico Mexico Lindo.
Sat-Sun May 4-5: Payette Brewing is celebrating Cinco De Mayo from 11am-10pm as they bring you flavorful, fun and refreshing cervezas & margs all cinco long. There will be specialty drinks and food trucks.
Sun May 5: Hops & Bottles is throwing a Salsa Fest. Come show off your best salsa recipe! The competition starts promptly at 2pm. There will be prizes, free tacos, specialty drinks, and more.
Sun May 5:Barbarian Brewing (Garden City) is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with Tres Brujas Mexican Lager and nachos & brisket quesadillas from Joker's BBQ.
Sun May 5: Ballet Folklorico is headed to Warehouse Food Hall. Immerse yourself in the vibrant rhythms, colorful costumes, and rich heritage as dancers take the with authentic choreography and music.
Sun May 5:Enrique's Mexican Restaurant in Nampa is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a buffet with their fave dishes rotating throughout the night. The regular menu will also be available to go. Goes 12-8pm.
Sun May 5: Indian Creek Plaza is back with their annual Cinco De Mayo event from 5-10pm. There will be plenty of spicy food, energetic dancing, and bands.

Sat May 4: Angie's Farmhouse Metal Art is hosting a Mother’s Day event with lots of gift ideas, and you get a free garden stake with every purchase. Admission & parking is free too.
Sat-Sun May 4-5: It’s Mom’s Weekend at Williamson Orchard & Vineyard. The specials are Mom’s Choice Flight for $10 or special wines by the glass. There’s also food trucks, outdoor craft fair, lawn games, crafting for kids and more. Goes 12-5pm.

Fri May 3: Join Mad Swede Brewing for a night of laughs with Tyson Gusman + Tyler Wolf in their show Angels & Demons. The show goes from 7-9pm and tix are $20.
Fri May 3: Getting Dirty with Mike Faverman (an X Rated comedy show) is going on at Lounge at The End of The Universe at 6pm. This show is not for the easily offended - it promises to be raunchy, vulgar, and hilarious. Tix are $25 and the show is 21+.
Wed May 8: Comedian AJ Wilkerson is at the Lounge at the End of the Universe at 7pm. He’s been on Netflix, Sirius XM, and performed at numerous festivals. Tix are $25. 18+
Sat May 4: Pilates & Pints is happening at Mad Swede Brewing on Cole at 12pm. Get your sweat on and rehydrate with a beer. The class is free, bring your own mat, and get $1 off Mad Swede beer and cider when you’re done.

Th May 2: Boise's First Feria is happening tonight from 5-8pm at Ochos. It’s an event hosted by Flameno Idaho with wine tastings, tapas, dances, live music, and a mini Rastro (flea market). 21+
Th-Sun May 2-5:Free film screenings at Idaho Film Society! Thursday is The Conversation at 7pm, Friday is Valley Girl at 7pm, Saturday is Star Wars: A New Hope at 1pm and Two Lane Blacktop at 7pm, Sunday is Night of the Hunter at 12pm and Ready or Not at 5pm.

Sat May 4: Canopy Watch is hosting a Tree Climb in Municipal Park. Reservations are $30 and it’s open to all ages and abilities.
Sat May 4: Check out the Experience Idaho Expo happening at Expo Idaho from 10am-5pm. There’s over 100 exhibits showcasing Idaho businesses. It’s free!
Sat May 4: Beltane 2024, a spring celebration, is going on at Manitou Dog Park starting at 1pm. Bring a dish to share if you can. There will also be the annual ribbon pole dance.
Sat May 4: There’s a Living Civil War History Event happening at Eagle Island State Park. It’s $7 per vehicle (State Park fee or included w/ Parks Pass) and family friendly.
