Bike race, Basque bar crawl & brunch spots

Hey friends. Hope you are having a good week. Here's today's podcast & some more cool stuff below. Have a fun weekend!

First Thursday is tonight

Tis the first Thursday of the month & that means it's First Thursday in downtown Boise. Here's a few fun things to do:

  • Treefort Music Hall is doing a free show with Annabelle Chairlegs + Gipsy Moonrise from 6-9pm.
  • Meriwether Cider House is doing a lil art class where you can make pressed flower bookmarks. Fun!
  • Ochos Wine Bar has a flamenco performance at 6pm.
  • Cactus Bar has free bingo.
  • Handlebar has trike races that are super fun. Starts at 8pm.
  • And more fun stuff here!

Also reminder the next First Friday in Garden City is August 4.

Twilight Crit is on Saturday

Sat July 8: The Twilight Criterium is happening in downtown Boise on Saturday. It's a high speed professional bike race where they go in super fast laps around Cecil D. Andrus Park in front of the Capitol building. I like to set up near or on a corner and watch from there - it’s intense. The event starts at noon with a kids ride and then there’s races happening all afternoon and into the evening. It’s free to come down at watch!
