    Bogus Basin Mountain Report

    Summer operations at Bogus Basin begin on Friday, June 19th! The mountain offers tons of free events and family-friendly activities, from hiking and biking to soaring down The Glade Runner Mountain Coaster.

    The very popular (and free!) Yoga on the Mountain series returns to the base area lawn for opening weekend and will continue Friday evenings and Saturday & Sunday mornings through the summer. There are even special Sound Bathing Yoga classes on select Sundays – be sure to check those out! Other free events include Guided Nature Programs, and the fan-favorite Music on the Mountain summer concert series, featuring a fun lineup curated by Duck Club!

    Save the date for the Boise Mountain Bike Festival, happening Saturday, June 27th. All summer activities, The Basin Gravity Park, and food venues will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm through Labor Day weekend. See you up there!

    Bluebird Social Soft Opening

    Thursday, June 4 – Sunday, June 6

    Boise’s newest outdoor social hub opens TONIGHT right on the Greenbelt. Bluebird Social is a boutique riverside venue built for summer, with live music, a curated food park open for lunch and dinner, and an intentionally designed gathering space on the water. The soft opening weekend is free admission, open 11am–10pm all three days.

    Bluebird Social Launch Party with Bombargo

    Friday, June 12

    The official grand opening of Bluebird Social brings Bombargo to the stage with opener McKenna Esteb. Doors at 5pm, show at 6pm. All ages, ticketed event.

    Green Acres Has a New Home

    Boise’s beloved Greenbelt food truck park has moved just down the path to a new spot behind Payette Brewing at 767 S Pioneer St. Same good vibes, rotating food trucks, live music, and dog-friendly atmosphere, new location. Open Tuesday through Sunday starting at 11am (9am for breakfast and coffee).

    Thursday, June 4

    • June First Thursday: Pets & Their Peeps is happening at JUMP from 5–8pm. It’s a free community gathering celebrating all things pets at Boise’s creative campus, perfect for the whole family (and your furry friends). It’s free!
    • Esto Perpetua Award Ceremony is happening at the Idaho State Museum from 4:30–7pm. It’s the Idaho State Historical Society’s annual celebration honoring the state’s best history champions, held this year in recognition of America’s 250th anniversary. Tix are $30.
    • Friendship Bracelet Making is happening at Meriwether Cider House Downtown from 4–9pm. It’s a free First Thursday activity where all supplies are provided to make bracelets with your crew while sipping from 20 ciders on tap. It’s free! 21+

    Friday, June 5

    • Twilight Tours is happening at the Old Idaho Penitentiary from 7–11pm. It’s a self-guided or docent-led nighttime tour of one of Idaho’s most historic sites, with guided tours departing every half hour. Tix are $16. 13+.
    • Roars and Pours is happening at Zoo Boise from 6–9pm. It’s an adults-only after-hours zoo experience with live music, a Giraffe Encounter, zookeeper chats, special animal experiences, Zoo Farm feedings, and free carousel rides. Tix are $30 presale / $35 at the door. 21+.
    • First Fridays at Parcero: Live Music + Wine is happening at Parcero in Garden City from 6–8pm. It’s the first evening of the Summer First Fridays series, with wine specials, small plates, and live music by Ashley Rose on the patio. It’s free!

    Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6

    • Ballet Idaho: Cinderella is happening at Morrison Center for the Performing Arts (7:30pm Friday; 2pm and 7:30pm Saturday). It’s an enchanting full-length ballet set to Prokofiev’s lush score, choreographed by Artistic Directors Garrett Anderson and Anne Mueller. Tix start at $48.50.

    Saturday, June 6

    • Bruneau Petrified Wood Geologic Field Trip is happening in Bruneau from 8:30am–2:30pm. It’s a guided carpool trip to a new collecting area where you can pick up petrified wood and other fossils right off the ground, no digging required. Tix are $20.
    • Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live is happening at Albertsons Stadium at 6:30pm. It’s a high-octane monster truck show featuring the iconic Hot Wheels brand trucks doing stunts, racing, and big-air jumps. Tix start at $15.
    • Ustick in Bloom is happening at Redwood Park in west Boise from 5-9pm. It’s a neighborhood celebration featuring a beer garden, live music, craft vendors, and food trucks. It’s free!
    • The i48 Idaho 48 Hour Film Festival is happening at the Egyptian Theatre in downtown Boise, with screenings at 1:30pm and 4:30pm. It’s the 23rd annual festival showcasing short films made by Idaho filmmaker teams in just 48 hours. Tix are $10.
    • The YMCA Treasure Valley Triathlon is happening at Esther Simplot Park, with the swim in Quinn’s Pond and the bike/run along the Boise River Greenbelt. It’s a USAT-sanctioned charity triathlon offering Super Sprint, Sprint, and Olympic distances, plus relay, youth, and adaptive divisions. Entry prices vary.
    • Caldwell’s 12th Annual Family Fun Day is happening at Serenity Park and Rotary Pond (1100 Dearborn St) in Caldwell. It’s a free community event on Idaho’s Free Fishing Day featuring a kids fishing challenge, color run/walk, bounce houses, obstacle courses, chalk art, local vendors, free games and prizes, and a free kids lunch.

    Sunday, June 7

    • 35th Annual Art & Roses Fine Art Festival is happening at Julia Davis Rose Garden from 10am–5pm. It’s Boise’s favorite celebration of local fine art with 100+ creators, live music from the Idaho Songwriters Association, free figure drawing, clay demos, food trucks, and performances by the Starbelly Dancers. It’s free!

    Wednesday, June 10

    • Boise Hawks vs. Idaho Falls Chukars is happening at Memorial Stadium at 7:05pm. It’s Hometown Heroes and Bark in the Park night. Tix start at $14.
    • Intro to Mixing Music is happening at JUMP from 4–7pm. It’s a two-day hands-on workshop on Wednesday and Thursday in JUMP’s PLAY Studio where you’ll learn the basics of mixing and producing music. Tix are $100. 10+.
    • The Eagle Rodeo is happening at the Eagle Rodeo Grounds (6500 W. Chaparral Road) Wednesday, June 10 – Saturday, June 13. It’s four nights of PRCA rodeo action featuring cowboys from across the country, vendors, food, and legendary after-parties on Friday and Saturday. This year celebrating 25 years! Tix are $20-$35 depending on the night. Kids are free!

    Thursday, June 4 – Wednesday, June 10

    • Macbeth is happening at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival Amphitheater with showings Thursday – Wednesday, except Monday. It’s Shakespeare’s thriller about ambition, power, and destruction, directed by Artistic Director Sara Bruner. Tix start at $29.68. 12+.

    Thursday, June 4 – Sunday, June 7

    • Murder on the Orient Express is happening at Stage Coach Theatre at 7:30pm Thursday–Saturday, with a matinee at 2pm on June 7. It’s Agatha Christie’s classic locked-room mystery. A glamorous murder on a snowbound train, with Hercule Poirot racing to find the killer before they strike again. Tix are $25. 13+.

    Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6

    • Cory Michaelis is doing a set at Lounge at the End of the Universe at 7pm. It’s stand-up comedy from a Pacific Northwest headliner who has opened for and been mentored by Louie Anderson. Tix start at $25. 21+.

    Tuesday, June 9 – Wednesday, June 10

    • Mamma Mia! is happening at Morrison Center for the Performing Arts at 7pm nightly. It’s the ultimate feel-good Broadway musical set on a Greek island, where a daughter’s quest to find her father before her wedding brings three men from her mother’s past back together, all set to the timeless hits of ABBA. Tix start at $158.60.

    • June First Thursday w/ Travis Doyle is happening at House of Wine from 5–8pm. It’s a “Hello Summer!” free tasting featuring selections from Vinspire Imports, a locally owned wine distributor, casual and no-pressure. It’s free!
    • Lobby Hop: Celebrate Idaho Wine & Cider Month is happening at hotel lobbies in downtown Boise from 5–6:30pm. It’s a walking wine event where Idaho wineries pour at multiple hotel stops, so you can sip, stroll, and explore downtown all at once. It’s free!
    • Fujishin and Free Dog Wines at the Idaho Art Gallery is happening at the Idaho Art Gallery from 4:30–8:30pm. It’s a wine pour featuring two beloved Idaho producers amid rotating art exhibitions. It’s free!

    • Savor Idaho is happening at the Idaho Botanical Garden from 2–5pm (VIP early access 1–2pm). It’s Idaho’s premier wine and cider tasting event, where you can sip, wander, and discover award-winning Idaho wines and ciders throughout the beauty of the Garden. Tix are $85.

    Wednesday, June 10

    • Vinos de Verano is happening at House of Wine from 6:30–7:30pm. It’s a tour through five Spanish white wines, from Atlantic coast saline beauties to aromatic inland varieties, led by Retail Manager Jose. Tix are $45.
