    Happenings

Hi, I'm Marissa Lovell, a writer and lover of all things local. So glad you're here.

Hello holiday season! In November, the holiday shopping starts with markets and bazaars, parades, holiday lights, and ice skating begins, and so much more.

Here’s a bunch of fun events and things to do in Boise and the Treasure Valley in November 2026:

    November 6 – 7: Holiday Makers Market

Holiday Makers Market is happening Friday, November 6 from 5-9pm and Saturday, November 7 from 9am-4pm at the Nampa Civic Center in Nampa. More than 100 artisans are there with pottery, jewelry, blankets, ornaments, paintings, pet gear and more. It’s one of the best early-season stops for knocking out a big chunk of local shopping at once. Admission is free!

    November 7: Sip Idaho

Sip Idaho is happening Saturday, November 7 at The Riverside Hotel in Garden City. It’s Idaho’s only all-spirits tasting festival, so it’s the rare chance to try distilleries from Idaho and around the world side by side. VIP admission is 4-7:30pm and general admission runs 5-7:30pm with mostly unlimited samples plus appetizers. Tix are $65 for GA and $100 for VIP. 21+

    November 7 – 8: Eagle Holiday Bazaar

Eagle Holiday Bazaar is happening Saturday, November 7 from 9am-5pm and Sunday, November 8 from 10am-3pm at Eagle High School. This long-running community bazaar leans proudly handmade, with quilts, ceramics, woodwork, jewelry, sweets and its much-loved homemade cinnamon rolls. It’s a nice reminder that a holiday market can still feel genuinely local. It’s free!

November 12: From Boise Dinner Club

From Boise Dinner Club is happening Thursday, November 12 at 6:30pm in Downtown Boise. This one is for meeting new people and making new friends! You fill out a form to tell us more about your interests and then we match you with 5 other people. The morning of dinner you find out your restaurant, then show up at 6:30pm and enjoy! During dinner everyone receives a text with the after-party location, which is optional but a great way to meet even more people. Tickets are $16.

November 12: Boise State Annual Holiday Concert

Boise State Annual Holiday Concert is happening Thursday, November 12 at 6:30pm at the Morrison Center. Boise State’s music ensembles get an early jump on the season with winter and holiday favorites. More things to do in November

Make friends with your local baker. November is treat season and we have so many good options! Janjou Pâtisserie, Sunshine Spice Bakery & Cafe, Caffè Sorrento, Flourish Bakery (gf options!), Burread Bakery, Hudson Baking Co, Madre Bianca Baking Company, Glutonia.

Volunteer for Thanksgiving. The Idaho Foodbank, Boise Rescue Mission, Corpus Commons, and Interfaith Sanctuary all need extra hands around the holiday.

Catch the last of the fall color. Walk Kathryn Albertson Park, the Greenbelt, Camel’s Back, or Hulls Gulch before the leaves are gone.

Watch for Bogus Basin’s opening day. It’s usually late November or early December depending on snow. Now’s the time to grab your season pass.

Hit up a hot springs. Take a day trip to Idaho City, Kirkham, or Gold Fork to get some mountain air.

    Have a fun month!!
