- ​Mother’s Day Tea​ is happening at The Bishops’ House from 1–3pm. It’s a traditional tea party fundraiser with live acoustic music and a stroll through the historic home and grounds. Tix are $45.​​
- ​Mother’s Market Celebration​ is happening at Salt & Light Coffee Lounge in Eagle from 9am–1pm. It’s a patio farmers market with fresh flowers, jewelry, candles, a photobooth, and more.
- ​Cafe + Play Mother’s Day Pop Up​ is happening from 10am–2pm. It’s a mommy-and-me pop up with flash tattoos, free massages, boutiques, pastries, a mobile med spa, and a $25 mommy-and-me photo frame craft with Handmade Hangout and Notion Art Co. Tix are $25 for the craft activity.
- ​Mother’s Day Potting Party​ is happening at Edwards Greenhouse from 11am–3pm. It’s a potting party under the gazebo in the Legacy Gardens where you can build a custom planter plus enjoy drinks from Alchemist Coffee and Chimney Shack. Tix are $15.
Sunday, May 10
- ​Mother’s Day Concert​ is happening at Ste. Chapelle Winery from 11am–5pm, with the Hit Machine show starting at 1pm. It’s an outdoor Mother’s Day celebration with live music, food trucks, and a vendor village. Chairs, blankets, and picnics welcome. Tix are $35 general admission or $30 for wine club members, includes a complimentary glass of wine. Kids under 21 are free.
- ​Mother’s Day at Famici Wine Co.​ is happening from 4–10pm. Enjoy live music by Wesley George, Smells Like Brisket food truck, a Mom’s Choice wine flight, and a complimentary glass of champagne and sweet treat for all the moms.
- ​Mother’s Day at Split Rail Winery​ is happening from 12–6pm. It’s a laid-back Mother’s Day celebration with live poetry by She Is Poetry, live music from Landonious Monk, and Hen & Hare bouquets on site. It’s free!
- ​Mimosas with Mom​ is happening at Bernie Fisher Park in Kuna from 11am–2pm. It’s a Mother’s Day celebration with live music by Olivia Frost, local shopping, mimosas, and free bouquets for the first 350 guests courtesy of Posy Blue Flower Truck. It’s free!
- ​Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet​ is happening at Hotel Renegade from 9am–3pm. It’s an elevated brunch buffet on the 8th floor Overland Ballroom with patio views. It’s $65 per person and reservations are recommended.
- ​Rustica’s Mother’s Day Brunch​ is happening from 10am–2pm. It’s their very first brunch service, featuring a French bistro-inspired menu plus a cocktail menu with bellinis and specialty Bloody Marys. Reservations encouraged.
- ​​Mother’s Day at Barbarian Brewing​ is happening at the Garden City location from 12–6pm. It’s a Mother’s Day celebration with three food vendors, fresh flower bouquets from Fireweed Floral, and live bluegrass from Tater Patch from 3–5pm. It’s free!

New cafe on the Bench
Saturday, May 9 – Sunday, May 10
- ​Amanda’s European Cafe​ is soft opening this weekend at 217 S Roosevelt on the Bench. Open 9am until evening both days. It’s a new family-run European-style cafe. Hearty vegetarian dishes, stromboli, frittatas, and homemade cookies plus a full coffee and espresso bar, kombucha on tap, matcha, Italian sodas, and a shaded patio. This weekend is a limited-menu soft opening while the family gets into their rhythm, then will have weekends-only hours through May before full summer hours kick off in June. Looks super cute!

- ​First Thursday​ is happening in downtown Boise at multiple stores, restaurants, and bars throughout downtown. Lots of events and specials to explore. Things usually start around 5pm.
Friday, May 8
- ​El Canto de las Manos​ is happening at the Egyptian Theatre at 7:30pm. It’s a documentary film following three Deaf musicians from Venezuela as they stage Beethoven’s Fidelio in sign language for the first time. It’s free!
Friday, May 8 – Sunday, May 10
- ​Kuna Hometown Fair​ is happening at Bernie Fisher Park in Kuna with varying hours: Friday 3–10pm, Saturday 11am–10pm, and Sunday 11am–4pm. It’s a classic hometown fair with carnival rides, games, food trucks, vendors, and a kids’ zone. No entry fee. Carnival ride passes are $40 on Friday/Sunday and $45 on Saturday, or $0.50 per individual ticket.

- ​School of Rock Meridian Grand Opening​ is happening at 3210 E Chinden Blvd in Eagle from 10am–2pm. There will be live performances, drop-in lessons, studio tours, free food, and guitar smashing. I pledge allegiance to the band of Mr. Schneebly 🎸
- ​Flock Cancer Street Stroll​ is happening along Harrison Boulevard from 10am–12pm. It’s a community walk to celebrate and honor local breast cancer fighters and families. Stroll the 1-mile loop anytime during the window, then head to the Flock Party on Hazel Street with food trucks and group photos. Registration required.
- ​She Knows What to Do: Confidence & Self-Defense Workshop​ for Moms and Daughters (16+) is happening from 10am–3pm. It’s a hands-on workshop where moms and daughters build confidence, strengthen communication, and learn practical self-defense skills together.
- ​Roller Derby: Blood, Sweat & 20 Years​ is happening at Expo Idaho with games at 3pm, 5pm, and 7pm. It’s Treasure Valley Roller Derby’s 20th anniversary celebration, with three bouts, a halftime ceremony honoring skaters, coaches, and volunteers, and a few surprises along the way.
- ​Embodied Style Workshop​ is happening at Common Ground Coffee from 3:30–5:30pm. It’s a hands-on workshop where you reconnect with your body’s instincts and explore personal style as a form of self-expression. Tix are $45.

- ​Give Back Girls Day: Community Charity Event​ is happening at Papa Joe’s from 2–6pm. It’s a come-and-go volunteer event where you’ll help assemble 300+ care kits for Boise’s unhoused community. Grab a drink, build some kits, and meet some good people. It’s free!
