  • ​Mysterium is doing two shows at the Visual Arts Collective this weekend. There will be acrobatics, burlesque, music, comedy, dance, and more! Doors open at 8pm and the show starts at 9pm. Tix are $30 in advance or $40 at the door. 21+

Friday, October, 11 - Sunday, October 13

  • ​Lizzie is playing at Stagecoach Theatre at 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday, and 2pm on Sunday. It’s an intense and ferocious murder mystery, so be prepared for a thrill! Tix are $25. Recommended for ages 16+
  • ​A Tomb with a View is happening at Boise Little Theatre at 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday, and 2pm on Sunday. It’s full of surprising plot twists… and more corpses than cast members by the end. Tix are $20.
  • ​Ghost Stories in the Graveyard is happening at the Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell. Be sure to bring your own chair and dress accordingly. All ages are welcome. It’s free!

Saturday, October 12

  • ​The Vampire Ball, presented by the Boise Belles, is happening at the Bishop’s House from 7-10pm. It’s an evening of undead glamor, dancing under the stars, and exploring the historic Bishop’s House. Tix are $35, or $45 with two drinks.
  • ​Behind the Scenes tours of the Old Idaho Penitentiary are happening starting at 6pm-10pm. Ever wonder what it looks like in those off-limits areas of the Old Idaho Penitentiary? This is your chance! Tix are $15.
  • ​Recycled Minds is having a Halloween Special at 8pm. This comedy show will feature an improvised scary movie based on your suggestions. Tix are $15 online and $5 for kids (5-12), or $20 at the door. It’s family friendly!
  • ​Pirates: Murder at Nassau is happening at Watson's Mystery Cafe from 7-9pm. Doors open at 6pm. Don't miss the chance to show off your pirate attire and compete for the title of the best-dressed! There’s also a four-course meal available for preorder. Tix are $30-75 and all ages are welcome. Can you unravel the mystery before it's too late?

  • There’s a VHS Horror Movie Marathon + Swap happening at realms on Monday night. The first movie starts at 6pm and you can bring horror tapes for trade or sale! It’s free but try to order at least one food or drink item.

Wednesday, October 16

  • ​Witches Night Out is happening at the Village in Meridian starting at 5:30pm. This is a spooky and spectacular fundraiser event benefiting Faces of Hope, a non-profit that provides a safety net of crisis services here in the Treasure Valley. Come dressed in your best witch or warlock attire and enjoy live music, vendors, entertainment, raffles, and more. It’s free!
  • ​Haunted Hearse Trunk or Treat is happening at the ​​Relyea Funeral Chapel from 6-8pm. There will be food trucks, vendors, a Death History Museum, costume contests (judged by the funeral homes), and a Haunted Hearse contest (judged by you). It’s free!

  • ​Off the Cuff, an improv stand up comedy show, is happening at Mad Swede Brew Hall from 7-9pm. The catch? Audience picks the topics. Tix are $20-$65.
  • ​Susan Rice will be doing two shows at the Lounge at the End of the Universe, one from 7-8:30pm and another from 9:30-11pm. Doors open at 6pm and 9pm. Tix are $25.

  • Comedian Josh Wolf will be at the Knitting Factory for his High On Life tour. Doors open at 7pm. Tix are $30-$75.

  • ​You Be the Judge! is happening at House of Wine from 6:30-7:30pm. In round one, guests will blind taste six red wines and vote for their favorites.   • ​Run and Chill at CrossFit Casual this Thursday at 6pm. It's a quick 30-minute run followed by a sauna and cold plunge sesh. Everyone is welcome!

  • ​Homeschool Day: DĂ­a de los Muertos is happening at the Idaho State Museum from 10am-3pm. Learn about Idaho's Hispanic community by exploring the galleries and creating crafts like a cup-and-ball game and a flower crown headband. Registration is required before the day of the event. Tix are $3 per student and adults/teachers are free in a 1:1 ratio. ISHS Members are free.

Saturday, October 12

  • The Trunk or Treat and Food Drive, sponsored by Jordan’s Garden Center, is going on in the Mad Swede Brewing lot from 2-6pm. There will be an inflatable obstacle course, petting zoo, corn pit, straw maze, a beer garden, and tons of food trucks. Hay rides are also available for purchase. Enter on Cole Rd and exit out the back of the field to the West. Don’t forget non-perishables for donation!
  • ​The World’s Largest Dinosaurs, a brand new exhibit at the Discovery Center, is opening this Saturday, October 12, from 10am-4:30pm. This exhibition explores the biology of super-sized dinosaurs and even features a 60-foot-long Mamenchisaurus. Tix are $25.50 for adults, $22.50 for seniors (65+), and $17.50 for youth. Kids under two are free!
  • The first ever Reggae Rock and Brew music festival is happening at the Boise Hawks Stadium from 12-10pm. There will be tons of activities for everyone with live music from some of your favorite rock and reggae bands, beer vendors, jump houses for the little ones, games (with cash prizes!), art displays, costume contests, giveaways, and so much more! Tix are $30 and come with a festival cup plus 3-4 oz pours from any beer vendor on site.
  • ​Teen Takeover is happening at JUMP from 7-9pm. There will be line dancing, a photo booth, food and drinks, and even a mechanical bull (waiver here)! Spend an evening meeting new people, trying new things, and enjoying being a teen. Yeehaw!
  • The Eagle Harvest Fest is going on from 10am-4pm at City Hall in Eagle. There will be free pumpkins for the kids, crafts, cornhole, photo ops, live music, food, and more! The Eagle Trolley will also be providing transportation between City Hall and Eagle Academy all day.
  • ​Freedom Brewfest, a classic car show brought together by the Caldwell Rotary Foundation, is happening at Indian Creek Plaza from 1-6pm. There will be live music, food, raffles, games, prizes, and cool cars (of course!). The event is free, unless you’re drinkin’. Brew tix are $35 online or $40 day-of and come with a custom mug!

Saturday, October 12 - Sunday, October 13

  • There’s a Board Game Swap Meet happening at Phoenix Fire Games in Meridian from 11am on Saturday to 6pm on Sunday. Bring used and new board games to sell, and find games others brought in to take home! You can bring games in as early as Saturday Morning and pick up unsold games on Monday. Game on!

  • The last Boise Flea Market of the year is happening at Albertsons Stadium from 10am-4pm. Parking is available for $5 but the event itself is free!

Monday, October 14

  • Did you know Open Mic Night happens at Sturman’s every Monday?
  • There’s a Paint and Sip happening at Barbarian Brewing from 6-8pm. It’s a step-by-step painting sesh so beginners are welcome!! Use your best judgment to determine whether or not to bring little ones with you.

  • A Small Business Resource Fair is happening at unBound (722 E. 2nd St. in Meridian) This event brings together a range of organizations and resources to support local entrepreneurs and small business owners. It’s free!
  • ​Pitch-A-Friend is happening at Boise Brew Putt on Collister St. Wondering how it works? Friends reserve available pitch spots by filling out an online form. Then, they prepare a 3-5 minute slideshow on the exceptional qualities of their single friend and why others should consider dating them. On the night of the event, friends pitch their single friend on the mic. Happy cuffing season!
