  • Turkey Trot families, this one’s for you… there’s three different Turkey Trots this year, one in Downtown Boise (on Capital & Idaho) and the other at Memorial Park in Caldwell. Both start bright and early at 9am! This is a family-friendly, 5K race that happens on Thanksgiving Day each year. For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, there is also the Burn Turkey Day 5K starting at 8:30am at Burn Boot Camp (10557 W Carlton Bay Dr) in Garden City.
  • Get a FREE breakfast burrito at Autozone in Kuna (117 N Orchard Ave) from 8-11am!
  • Celebrate Thanksgiving at Roots & Company in Caldwell from 5-9pm. It’s a potluck-style dinner, so bring something to share!! They will provide ham, rolls, stuffing, cranberry sauce, au gratin potatoes, and pumpkin pie. It’s FREE!
  • There’s a Thanksgiving Day Feast happening at Locking Horns Riverside Restaurant in Horseshoe Bend. It’s FREE and all are welcome!!

Friday, November 29

  • The Holiday Market is happening at Koenig Distillery from 11am-6pm. Support local vendors for your holiday shopping and enjoy a cocktail or two!
  • The Local Makers Market is happening at Edwards Greenhouse from 10am-3pm! There will be pottery, cards, puzzles, art prints, jewelry, retablos, beeswax wraps, silverware, lavender products, hand-spun natural and dyed hats/other wears, handcrafted bowls, and baked goods. Gift ideas that are sure to make a mark this season!
  • Modern Sounds Vinyl is having Black Friday (556 S Vista Ave) starting at 8am!
  • Payette Black Friday is happening at Payette Brewing from 12-8pm. There will be live music, 20+ drink options (including stouts, porters, cocktails, and wine!), a food truck faire, glassware, a live stream of the BSU vs. Oregon State game, and raffle opportunities. It’s free! 21+
  • The Record Exchange is doing Black Friday from 8am-8pm. There will also be a special performance by Cassandra Lewis at 7pm! Check out the link for a full list of deets and deals!
  • Neurolux is doing Black Friday the darkwave way with DJ Riley! It goes from 11am-2pm.
  • Art Source Gallery is having their annual Studio Sale hosted by local artists in Boise from 10am-6pm on Black Friday (and Saturday!). All sale items will be displayed in the gallery’s garage and priced at $50 or under. Their Holiday Market is also happening through December 31st!
  • Brewer’s Haven is celebrating Black Friday with all the hard-to-find beer treasures from 9am-10pm. Cantillon, Goose Island, Fremont, Firestone Walker and many more limited edition libations to prepare you for the winter!
  • Powderhaus Brewing Company is doing Black Friday German-style with Day 1 of their Christmaskindlmarkt Pop-Up! There’s food, vendors, and Gluhwein :)
  • Christmas at the Barn is happening at The Merq in Eagle from 5:30-9pm. This is an exclusive, once-a-year VIP shopping experience full of beautiful vintage items, gifts, live paintings, wreath-making, and catering! Tix are $25 and include a special thank-you gift from The Merq.

  • The Holiday Tree Lighting is illuminating The Grove Plaza at 5pm! This is our city’s ‘Giving Tree’ covered in 4,000 gift tags supporting the families of Women’s and Children’s Alliance. It’s a free, family-friendly event! Be sure to stay for the grand opening of Glide on Grove at 6pm, an all inclusive and completely FREE ice rink surrounding the tree.
  • Cowboys & Candy Canes is happening at Gem County Fairground in support of the 4-H and FFA. Enjoy a Tri-Tip dinner, music by Buckin Country Band, and exclusive shopping with Western Woodshop!

  • Studio Sale is happening at Art Source Gallery in Boise from 10am-6pm on Friday and Saturday. All sale items will be displayed in the gallery’s garage and priced at $50 or under. Their Holiday Market is also happening through December 31st!
  • There’s two Steelheads games vs. Tahoe Knight Monsters at the Idaho Central Arena. Puck drops at 7:10pm for both. Tix are starting at $60 right now.

  • Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is opening at Stagecoach Theatre this Friday at 7:30pm, with two other shows on Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. This hysterical stage adaptation of the 1964 Cult Classic Film is a baffling mixture of sci-fi, Christmas cheer, and childish slapstick live and on stage! It runs until December 22nd, so there’s plenty of opportunities to see one of the “Top 10 Worst Christmas Films Ever Made.” Tix are $25. Family friendly!

Friday, November 29 - Monday, December 2

  • Canyon Country Festival of Trees is happening from 12-5pm on Friday and 11-5pm on Saturday, followed by a Gala and Auction happening on Monday evening. View the trees, shop vendor booths, enjoy live entertainment, and visit Santa! Tix are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors 62 and up, $5 for children 4 to 12, $25 for families up to 6 guests, and free for children 3 and under. Cookies with Santa is happening from 6-8pm on Friday, an evening of live entertainment, story time with Santa, and special memories (all for a great cause!). Tix are $10 each. Breakfast with Santa is happening from 8:30 to 10:30am on Saturday. There will be live entertainment and a free digital photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Tix are $15 each. Bingo Night is happening from 5:30 to 8:30pm on Saturday. Must be 18 or older to play. Tix are $50 for the buy-in. The Gala and Auction is happening on Monday. It starts with a cocktail hour at 5:30pm, followed by dinner at 6:30pm and a live auction at 7pm. Enjoy the tree auction, a seated dinner, and a wonderful atmosphere to support the Meals on Wheels programs. Reservations are required for this one as well as formal attire.

  • Girls' Night Out is happening at The Riverside Hotel this Saturday from 10am-10pm! Start your day at the This is Boise Winter Wonder Market in the ballroom from 10am-4pm, where you can shop for unique holiday gifts. This free market will be hosting over 75 vendors, free family photos with Santa, family-friendly activities, and donation-based gift wrapping! There’s also a VIP package for $25 which includes a swag bag, complimentary beverage, vendor discounts or a gift, and early access to free Santa pictures. You can purchase this package here. Throughout the day, Upward Regenerative Medicine will be offering demos, including neurotoxin injections, Emsculpt Neo for abs, the Emsella chair, and mask treatment demos.   • Holiday Pops, presented by Boise Philharmonic, is happening at the Morrison Center on Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2pm. Fill your heart with holiday spirit as you hear a joyous performance of seasonal faves, timeless classics, and new holiday jams.

  • There’s a Christmas Pack Walk gathering at Indian Creek Plaza in Caldwell from 5:30-6:30pm. All dogs are welcome!! It’s free.

Tuesday, December 3

  • The Boise State Men's Basketball vs. Utah Tech is happening at the Extra Mile Arena at 7pm. Tix are $10.
  • "Midnight Metaphor" Artist Reception is happening at Initial Point Gallery in Meridian from 4:30-7pm. The theme of the exhibition is the color blue in both physical and metaphorical application! The show features artists from the Treasure Valley Artist Alliance and will remain on display through January 31st.

Wednesday, December 4

  • Did you know Kiln in Meridian does a Lunchtime Yin Yoga Flow every Wednesday? It’s free!
  • Create an Ikebana Floral Sculpture at Wildflower Floral Co. with Jennifer Hagler from 6-8:30pm.
