Things to do in Boise June 20-26, 2024

Happy summer solstice! 🌞 Today is the longest day of the year – we get 15 hours of daylight today. I've got a bunch of fun stuff for you to do tonight and this weekend. Listen to me talk about it on today's podcast episode. Have fun out there!

Weekend festivals

All weekend

  • ​Sawtooth Valley Gathering is happening up in Stanley on Thursday, June 20 through Sunday, June 23. There's live music happening on five different stages plus late night afterparties. Tix are $11-$244.
  • ​Meridian Dairy Days started yesterday, June 19 and goes through Saturday June 22. There will be speedway races, a parade, a dairy princess, a carnival and much more.

Saturday, June 22

  • ​Boise Music Festival is happening at Expo Idaho from 10am-10pm. There will be touring & local artists, carnival rides, food trucks, vendors, play areas and more. Tix are $30.
  • ​Dandelion Fest is happening at Sunset Park from 11am-4pm. There will be dandelion beverages to try, food trucks, and other fun activities. It's free!
  • ​San Juan Eguna Basque Festival is happening from 5-11pm at Txoko Ona in Homedale. There will be food, beverages, dancing and musical performances, games for kids and adults, live music, and a bonfire. It's free!
  • ​A Midsommar Day Celebration is happening at Mad Swede Brewing from 3-11pm. Celebrate the start of summer with a Swedish car show, axe throwing, lawn games, food trucks, flower crown making, dancing around the maypole, mead, live music, and more. It's free!

Markets this weekend

Saturday, June 22

  • ​No New Vintage Market is happening at the Linen Building from 10am-4pm. Shop for vintage clothing, art, house stuff & more.
  • ​The Juniper Market is happening at 10am at The Village. Trendy crafts and one-of-a-kind finds from local artisans and entrepreneurs.
  • ​Boise Farmers Market is happening from 9am-1pm at 1500 Shoreline Drive in Boise. This one is a food-focused market. Also fyi no dogs allowed.
  • ​Capital City Public Market is happening from 9:30am-1:30pm on the Grove Plaza in downtown Boise. Art, baked goods, produce, herbs and spices, clothing, jewelry, and more.
  • ​Meridian Main Street Market is happening from 9am-2pm at City Hall Plaza & next to Meridian City Hall. Find fresh produce, artisan goods, crafts, and more.
  • ​Nampa Farmers Market is going on from 9am-1:30pm in Lloyd Square Park in Nampa. Tons of vendors to shop!
  • ​Eagle Saturday Market is happening from 9am-2pm at Eagle City Hall Campus. There’s food and craft vendors, and live music.

Sunday, June 23

  • ​36th Street Sunday Market is happening at Sockeye Alehouse. There's an eclectic mix of items from spices, artwork/crafts, fresh produce, and more. Goes 10am-2pm, and brunch is served in the Alehouse next door.

Tuesday, June 25

  • ​Meridian Night Market is going on at Frontier Park from 6-10pm next to The Roosevelt Bar. Enjoy live music, local artists & makers, food trucks, tasty drinks and much more.
  • ​Caldwell's Farm to Fork Farmers Market​ is happening at Indian Creek Plaza from 5-8pm. Find tons of local producers, plus live music, local restaurants and more.

  • ​Will Act 4 Food is happening at Boise Little Theatre from 7:30-10pm. Writers, actors, and directors create and perform 7 short plays in just 24 hours. Tix are $18.
  • ​A Better Trip with Shane Mauss is happening at 7:30pm at The Egyptian Theatre. It's a show that combines comedy, science, art, and psychedelics. Tix are $30-$40.
  • ​The Eric Andre Show is happening at Shrine Social Club at 8pm. Tix are $40 - it's technically sold out but there's a waitlist.
  • ​Funnier Than Fiction is happening at The Creative Space at 8pm. Tix are $5-20 and the show is open to all ages.

Food finds & things to drink

New things

  • ​Boise Booch Brewery & Taproom is a new hard kombucha brewery and taproom opening at 520 N Curtis Road. They are having a Grand Opening Party this Friday, June 21 at 6pm with food trucks, music, booch, beer, wine, NA cocktails, craft & food vendors, astro readings, and music. Funnn!
  • ​8 Horses Lounge is now open in the basement (former bank vault) below Fork. Address is 199 N 8th Street Ste 50. Cocktails and wine.
  • ​Dusty Miller Pastries + Flours is working on opening a new bakery on the bench at 802 N Garden Street. In the old Grandma's Attic space. Excited for this!

Saturday, June 22

  • ​Happy 6th bday Hops & Bottles! The party is from 11am-10pm & there will be beer specials, giveaways all day, live music, yard games and more. Bring your dog.
  • ​Vino & Vinyl is happening at Potter Wines in Kuna from 10am-4pm. Music & wine = perfect.

Sunday, June 23

  • ​39/39: Chef Cal & Telaya Winemaker's Dinner is happening at The Avery and there's still a few tickets left! Tix are $150 and include a five course dinner from Chef Cal paired with Telaya wines. The menu looks amazing.

Thursday, June 20

  • ​Vista Farms is having its Grand Opening from 10am-8pm. Go pick your own lavender & shop lavender products.
  • ​4th Annual Forklift Rodeo is happening from 4-8pm at 6445 W Gowen Rd. It will be a day filled with thrilling forklift competitions and other fun activities. This is hilarious lol!

Friday, June 21

  • ​Shrek (2001) is showing at The Bandshell at Julia Davis Park for Movies Under the Stars. Starts at dusk. It's free!
  • ​Godzilla vs Kong is showing at Kuna's Movies on the Greenbelt. This one is "date night" and its 18+. Starts at dusk. It's free!

Saturday, June 22

  • ​World Refugee Day is happening at The Grove Plaza from 9:30-1:30pm. There will be local performers & vendors from refugee backgrounds, cultural celebrations, ​and great food from around the world. ​It's free!

Sunday, June 23

  • ​Dig Into Geodes with the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology from 10am-1pm. $4 admission grants you a fun time cracking geodes, taking a hillside geo-hike, and admission to the museum.

Tuesday, June 25

  • ​Wine Dupes! Bargain Wines class is happening at House of Wine at 6:30pm. Learn how to get the most bang for your buck in the wine aisle. Tix are $45 & includes tastings and snacks.
  • ​POTATO, a new local documentary, is premiering at The Egyptian Theater at 7pm. It's a film that shows a mashed-up mix of everyday Idahoans doing everyday things. Tix are $10.
