New food & drink finds in Boise 💌With so many new food & drink finds popping up, it can be hard to decide which are worth visiting. So we rounded up the best of the bunch for this week's story… some we found ourselves, some you told us about (thanks for the recs!!) From spicy margs and stacked breakfasts to blueberry matcha, juicy burgers, and bevs inspired by books, these spots are fresh, fun, and already getting lots of local love. Whether you’re planning the next Saturday outing, looking for your next go-to, or just need a reason to get out of the house, let this be your weekly guide for all the best new treats & eats in Boise. Here’s a list of all the places you need to check out this Spring: Oddbox Breakfast ProjectYou've heard of The Funky Taco, but did you know they serve breakfast now, too? Tiny and tucked away, Oddbox Breakfast Project is serving up the best classic breakfast sandwich in town, the Standard Issue. They also have five options for burritos, including the Chill Kill Bill which has corn chips, house made verde sauce, eggs, beans, grilled onion, cheese, and crema. Yum!! Brought to you by the owners of The Funky Taco and The STIL, Oddbox is your little window of grab-n-go breakfast opportunity. You can find the full menu here!! They are open from 7:30-10:30am Monday-Friday and now on Saturday from 8-11am. Closed on Sunday. Oddbox is your new breakfast hero: packed with flavor and ready to fuel your work day! Rosa Garden CityRosa is Boise’s newest taqueria and it’s already making waves, tucked away near Whitewater Park and right next to Push & Pour in Garden City. The atmosphere is colorful, casual, and open, making it the perfect spot to meet friends, bring family, kick back, and enjoy street-style tacos that hit the spot every single time. There's six tacos to choose from or get a taco plate to try your choice of three with a side of rice and beans! The Al Pastor and skirt steak are incredible. Also, they have two burrito options and my bean burrito loving friend says its the best one. The spicy passion fruit margarita has a kick to it, but it's incredible. Plus, thick-cut house made chips and guac are the perfect side to accompany drinks with friends. Rosa is a new concept by Wylder Hospitality Group, who also run The Wylder, Certified Kitchen & Bakery, The Roosevelt Market, Percy, and Wyld Child. They’re located at 113 W 33rd St in Garden City and open from 11am–9pm Monday-Saturday. Rosa is the type of place you wanna go back to again and again… or even twice in one day. Hidden Grounds CoffeeHidden Grounds Coffee is nestled right into the North End and they’re serving up some of the loveliest seasonal drinks right now. It’s super cute and cozy, and all the drinks are made with clean, simple ingredients. Local baked goods also make the perfect pairing for a morning treat. There’s a cute hideout up the stairs, board games for the kids, and an entire outdoor patio with plenty of seating for the whole crew! They’re located at 3910 Hill Rd and open from 8am–2pm Tuesday–Saturday. Closed Sunday & Monday. Hidden Grounds is your new favorite peaceful coffee nook off the beaten path. People Under the StairsLocated under the staircase between Goldy’s Corner and Goldy’s Breakfast Bistro, People Under the Stairs is Boise’s newest (and likely the smallest) non-alcoholic cocktail lounge created by local alcohol-free bottle shop Free Spirits Bev Co. Each drink is made using premium non-alcoholic spirits, botanical infusions, and carefully sourced ingredients made for the mindful drinker. This started up in March and they’ll be testing the concept through August. If you love the idea, go show some love!! They’re located at 104 S Capitol St in Boise and open from 4-8pm on Thursday & Friday and 11am-4pm on Saturday. People Under the Stairs is for the curious, flavor chasers who wanna try something new. The menu changes regularly based on availability, so be on the look out for what's new this week! Oldspeak BarBooks and beer. Oldspeak Bar is both as simple and compelling as that. It’s also the first in our area to combine these two passions into one. This whimsical bar-meets-bookstore features The Lit Room, a curated bookstore full of undiscovered favorites, and Alliteration Ales, an offsite brewery providing crisp, cold craft beers and literary-inspired concoctions. The space is charming and cozy, with vintage furniture, an engraved ladder on wheels, and plenty of comfortable seating to settle down in. Whether you’re there to work, meet with friends, or just browse the shelves, the experience really depends on what you’re up to. They also host monthly events with local businesses and creatives, like Cat’s Eye Creative Reuse! They're located at 3131 W Chinden Blvd in Garden City and open from 10am–10pm Wednesday-Sunday. Oldspeak is a bar you go to when you want more than just a drink. 21+ Tim’s BurgersSurprisingly, it’s not the burgers that helped Tim’s Burgers earn a spot on this list, it’s the fries!! Garnished with rosemary sea salt and fried to golden perfection in beef tallow, they’re the perfect compliment to a classic. And then there’s the condiment cow, which dispenses your sauce of choice straight from the source. The burgers are a staple, too! You can build your own or choose from combos like the California Burger, which comes with avocado and bacon. They are located at The Boardwalk in Garden City and are open from 11am-8pm seven days a week. Go try the fries at Tim’s Burgers and snag a spot outside! It’s right on the Greenbelt. The Protein SpotThis is the perfect spot for students, gym-goers, and anyone in need of a boost after their workout or in between errands. With a variety of drink options and affordable grab-n-go meals, it’s the perfect place to drop by during a busy day. The drinks are fun, the energy is laid back, and there’s tons of different meals, bowls, protein options (of course!), smoothies, coffees, desserts, and more!! They’re located at 110374 W Overland Rd, but just opened a new full-service café at 1120 Broadway Ave in Boise. Open from 7am-7pm seven days a week. The Protein Spot is great for fuel on the go! Let us know which place is earning a spot in your rotation, or your radar, at the very least :) That’s the list! If you made it to the end, you deserve a taco, or a mocktail, or a matcha (or all three!!) Thanks for reading! With love from Boise, Carly
