Hi! It's been a long week, huh? So many things going on, many of them stressful. So I wrote this newsletter to cheer you up a lil & hopefully help you have a fun weekend!

Four fun fests this Saturday
Boise Comics Arts Festival is from 10am-5pm at JUMP. There's tons of interactive workshops, contests, cosplay, a board game swap, book sale, and much more. Peep the full schedule. There is another full day of online events on Sunday. Free to attend.
Boise Goathead Fest is from 10:30am-5pm at Cecil D. Andrus Park (in front of the Capitol). I gave you the whole scoop on Tuesday, which you can read here. Going to be really fun! Free but consider a lil donation to keep the fest going.
Raptorfest is from 12-5pm out at Indian Creek Winery in Kuna. It's a celebration of the Morley Nelson Snake River Birds of Prey Conservation Area, which is just south of Boise and home to one of the world's most dense concentrations of nesting birds of prey. There will be live music, kid stuff, non-profits, local vendors, food trucks, beer, wine, and live birds of prey. Free to attend.
Winefest on the Basque Block is from 5-8pm on the Basque Block. Tickets are $75 and include unlimited tastings & education of more than 75 wines pintxos from local Basque eateries, deep discounts on wine purchases, live Basque performances, and more. Limited tix available!

- August 26: Go check out Perspective in Garden City.
- August 26: Swing by Comedy open mic at Mad Swede Downtown Brew Hall.
- August 27: It's Adult Night at Ceramica. This week its gradient & paper masking. Limited tickets available!
- August 27: Trix & the Surprise is at Mad Swede Downtown. It's part comedy, part cabaret, and all good times (with a few surprises). It's $10.
- August 27: Go dancing at Ochos! Learn Salsa, Bachata, Merengue & more. 8-9pm is beginner lessons, then open dance starts at 9pm. Must be 21+ & vaccinated to participate. It's free.
- August 27: Check out the Opening Night Festivities of Boise Little Theater. Ice cream truck & Idaho Renaissance Faire's Italian Royal Court. It's free! The opening night of "The Book of Will" will follow at 8pm ($20).
- August 27-28: Make a fairy garden and a gnome home at Garden City Library. Byo 2-3in container or pot. Call (208) 472-2942 to register. It's free!
- August 27-29: Go see FOCUS an opera that rocks at The Egyptian Theater. It features a bunch of local and touring actors, musicians and dancers to present the story of a late 60s band in a multi-tiered live theatre experience.
- August 28: Check out Grooves, an all-levels movement class taught by Miranda Palacio of Corvette Collective. It's $20 and goes from 1-2:30pm.
- August 28: The Annual Bonsai and Koi Show is happening at Idaho Botanical Garden from 9am-4pm. It's free!
- August 28: Flower Farm Festival at Mason Creek Farm. It's a donation drive collecting school supplies for local teachers (list of donation items in event link). Live music, vendors, mini photo sessions, & flower picking. It's free!
- August 31: Story Story Night! This week it's Breaking Through The Wall: Stories of Overcoming. It's all outdoors and a really cool experience. Tickets are $12 advance or $15 at the door. Starts at 8pm.
