    Bogus Basin Mountain Report

    Summer Operations at Bogus Basin kick off tomorrow, June 19!

    The Bogus Basin team invites the community back to the mountain for a fun-filled summer in the cool mountain air! There’s something for the ​whole family on the mountain​, including the high-speed mountain coaster, 3-level challenge course and zip line, downhill biking, and more! Plus, be sure to check out the ​mountain’s long lineup of free events​ – from ​Birding with a professional ornithologist​ to dancing on the lawn at a free ​Music on the Mountain​ concert 🎶

    The Bogus Creek Lodge and all ​summer activities​ will be open Wednesday – Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm through Labor Day.

    World Refugee Day at JUMP

    Saturday, June 20

    The 25th anniversary of World Refugee Day comes to JUMP with a free, family-friendly celebration hosted by the Idaho Office for Refugees. Expect dance performances from cultures around the world, food vendors and artisans from refugee and immigrant backgrounds, and a special performance by Afrosonics. A beautiful reminder of the diversity that makes Boise home.

    Dad’s Day

    Sunday, June 21

    • ​23rd Annual Father’s Day Car Show​ is happening in front of the Idaho State Capitol Building from 10am–3pm. It’s a free Father’s Day tradition presented by Kendall Auto featuring over 120 vehicles showcasing transportation’s past, present, and future, plus pop-ups, entertainment, and DT Plays for the kids. It’s free!
    • ​Dads, Dogs, and Donuts: A Father’s Day Celebration​ is happening at Zoo Boise from 8–9am. It’s a Father’s Day breakfast event with a buffet, coffee or cocoa, African wild dog enrichment, a raffle, and a kids’ craft — plus zoo admission included for the rest of the day. Tix are $42 for adults, $30 for kids ages 3–17, and free for children under 2 (reservation still required).
    • ​Father’s Day Mini Event at Antique World Mall​ is happening at Antique World Mall from 10am–6pm. It’s a Father’s Day treasure hunt through Idaho’s largest antique mall, with over 160 dealers, special sales, and fresh inventory — perfect for finding a gift with a story. It’s free!
    • ​Fujishin Family Cellars – Dads Day Out​ is happening at Fujishin Estate Winery in Wilder from noon–6pm. It’s a Father’s Day weekend celebration with the V-Cut Mobile Lounge on site (noon–6pm) serving beer, signature cocktails, and cigars, plus the Melt Food Truck (1–4pm) with grilled cheese creations and scratch-made tomato basil soup. It’s free!

    Thursday, June 18–Saturday, June 20

    • The ​Snake River Stampede​ is happening at the Ford Idaho Center Arena in Nampa, with nightly rodeo performances at 7:30pm and a Family Day matinee on Saturday, June 20 at noon. It’s one of the top ten professional rodeos in the country, featuring bull riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, and more. There’s also live concerts after each night’s rodeo featuring Scotty Mac & the Nugs (Thu), 1871 (Fri), and Almost Famous (Sat). It’s the 111th year and draws 60,000+ fans over five days! Tix start around $37.

    Thursday, June 18

    • ​Full Draw Film Tour​ is happening at the Egyptian Theatre at 7pm. It’s an evening of all-new bowhunting films presented by onX Hunt, packed with bugling bulls, speedgoats, and stories from first-time filmmakers, plus a gear giveaway featuring a Hoyt Alpha AX-2. Tix are $26.27 for adults, $10 for kids.
    • ​Third Thursday Street Festival: Hello Summer​ is happening in Downtown Nampa from 6–9pm. It’s a summer-themed edition of Nampa’s monthly street festival with downtown activations, food trucks, live music, and family fun. It’s free!
    • ​Return of the FLASHED! Burlesque + Drag Pop-Up​ is happening at Hap Hap Lounge from 8pm–12am. It’s a burlesque and drag pop-up hosted by Dolce Vida and Vera Holiday for a night of bold performance and entertainment. It’s free! 21+

    • ​Greenbelt Night Market​ is happening in Garden City from 5–9pm. It’s a weekly outdoor market along the river with local vendors, artisan goods, food trucks, and live music. It’s free!
    • ​Ghoulies 2​ is screening at the Idaho Film Society from 7–9pm. It’s the 1987 horror-comedy sequel where the pint-sized monsters wreak havoc at an amusement park’s haunted house. 21+
    • ​Royal Roots and Runways​ is happening at the Egyptian Theatre at 7pm. It’s an evening of style and community presented by the Boise Soul Food Festival, bringing together local designers, models, and creatives to honor the cultural traditions of the African Diaspora through a dynamic runway show. Tix are $39.73.
    • ​Juneteenth Family Movie Night: Doctor Dolittle 2​ is happening at Cherie Buckner-Webb Park, with activities starting at 8pm and the movie at dusk. It’s a free Juneteenth celebration hosted by the Idaho Black Community Alliance featuring a screening of Doctor Dolittle 2 under the stars, plus concessions, music, raffles, and free hot dogs for the first 50 people who register. It’s free!
    • ​Movies Under the Stars​ series is happening at the Julia Davis Park Bandshell in Boise at dusk. The movie is Zootopia 2. It’s free!

    • ​Boise Hawks vs. Ogden Raptors​ is happening at Memorial Stadium at 7:05pm nightly (Sunday’s game at 1:05pm). It’s a five-game home series with nightly specials including Firework Friday, a Richard Karn celebrity appearance on Saturday, Father’s Day post-game catch on the field and Kids Club Sunday, $5 Tuesday, and Hometown Heroes / Bark in the Park on Wednesday. Tix from $25.

    Saturday, June 20

    • ​Touch-A-Truck​ is happening at the Children’s Museum of Idaho in Meridian from 10am–noon. It’s a free annual event where kids can climb, honk, and explore all kinds of vehicles from around the valley in the museum’s parking lot. Ear protection is recommended for noise-sensitive visitors. It’s free!
    • ​Time Zone Toys Collectors Show​ is happening at Time Zone Toys in Meridian from 10am–4pm. It’s an outdoor nostalgia market with 35+ vendors selling Funko Pops, Star Wars memorabilia, Transformers, GI Joe, Ninja Turtles, trading cards, and more. It’s free!
    • ​Wassmuth Center’s 30th Anniversary Block Party​ is happening at the Wassmuth Center for Human Rights from 1–3pm. It’s a community block party celebrating 30 years of the Wassmuth Center and the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial, with family-friendly activities and a look toward the future. It’s free!
    • ​All About Helium​ is happening at the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology from 1–2pm. It’s a fascinating lecture by Dr. Steve Tedesco on why helium is critical to modern industry and the supply disruptions causing growing concern. Tix are $5.
    • ​Boise Dandelion Festival​ is happening at Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park from 2–7pm. It’s the fourth annual celebration of resilience in nature, food, and community presented by City of Good and Boise Parks & Recreation, with hands-on activities, local beer and food, live music, and dozens of nonprofits — Boise’s fastest growing family-friendly festival. It’s free!
    • ​Moonrise Kingdom​ is screening at the Idaho Film Society from 7–9pm. It’s Wes Anderson’s whimsical 2012 tale of two 12-year-olds who fall in love and run away together on a New England island as a storm rolls in. 21+
    • ​A Love Letter to Handsome John​ is screening at the Egyptian Theatre at 7pm. It’s a documentary by Otis Gibbs. Tix are $19.03.
    • ​AC Boise vs. Union Omaha​ is happening at Athletic Club Boise Soccer Stadium at 7:30pm. It’s a home match for Boise’s pro soccer club taking on Union Omaha. Tix start at $50.

    Sunday, June 21

    • ​World Giraffe Day​ is happening at Zoo Boise from 10am–2pm. It’s a celebration of Zoo Boise’s resident giraffes, Jabari and Tafari, with giraffe-inspired crafts, a discovery station, the famous Giraffe Slide, and a giraffe feeding encounter from 11:30am–1:30pm ($5 add-on). Activities are included with zoo admission.
    • ​Idaho Brocante Antique Home and Garden Fair​ is happening on W. State Street from 10am–3pm. It’s an outdoor antique and vintage market inspired by the classic French flea market experience, with curated vendors selling home, garden, and vintage finds from across the Treasure Valley. It’s free!
    • ​Summer 2026 Ethereal Arts Bazaar​ is happening at Ivy Wild Park from 12–6:30pm. It’s a sober, family-friendly solstice gathering with local artists, mystics, and performers, plus a make-and-take tote bag craft, potluck, and complimentary tea from Lucid Lounge. It’s free!
    • ​Secret Cinema​ is screening at the Idaho Film Society from 4–6pm. It’s a mystery matinee where you won’t know what you’re watching until it starts, but it’s guaranteed to be a good time. 21+
    • ​Mrs. Doubtfire​ is screening at the Idaho Film Society from 7–9pm. It’s the beloved 1993 Robin Williams comedy about a divorced dad who disguises himself as a Scottish nanny to spend time with his kids. 21+

    • The Boise Bard Players are performing ​The Tempest​ at multiple locations around Boise. Thursday, June 18 is at The Bishops’ House; Friday, June 19 is at Indian Creek Plaza in Caldwell; Saturday, June 20 is at Common Ground Coffee in Boise; and Sunday, June 21 is at Carl Miller Park in Mountain Home. It’s The Boise Bard Players’ minimalist, high-energy take on Shakespeare’s shipwrecked masterpiece, part of their summer tour through unconventional Treasure Valley spaces. Most of these shows are free but the Bishops House performance is $35 reserved (general admission sold out).

    • ​Lara Beitz @ The Comedy Lounge​ is performing at The Comedy Lounge at 7pm. She’s an LA-based touring headliner featured on Showtime, Comedy Central, and The Late Late Show, known for sharp, surgical timing and storytelling that feels like trading secrets with a friend. Tix from $26.50.

It’s a fast-paced, modern reimagining of Sherlock Holmes and Joan Watson as quirky, codependent roommates turned crime-fighting duo, navigating mysteries, mayhem, and a little pandemic fog.     • ​Campfire Stories Improv Show​ is happening at The Creative Space in Garden City at 8pm. It’s a one-of-a-kind improv show from Recycled Minds Comedy where real audience stories spark completely unscripted scenes, characters, and chaos made up on the spot. Tix are $15.99.
