Happy springy weekend! That storm last night was nuts. I was driving down Roosevelt when the hail started and within minutes the whole street was white with hail/snow. Crazy!
We’ve got lots to do this weekend. It’s birthday weekend at From Boise and Oldspeak. Hempfest is happening in the park, Record Store Day is happening at the local shops, and there’s tons of live music going on. Have fun out there!

- ​The Record Exchange​ is celebrating Record Store Day with a weekend-long celebration. Enjoy 350+ exclusive vinyl releases, live music, sales, and special events – including a listening party on Friday and in-store performances on Saturday. It’s free to attend!
Saturday, April 18
- ​Modern Sounds Vinyl​ is celebrating from 8am–7pm on Saturday. It’s a full-day shop hang with 350+ exclusive releases (first come, first served), plus DJs, flash tattoos, live music, and special merch. Free and all ages.

Boise Hempfest
Saturday, April 18 – Sunday, April 19
- ​Boise Hempfest 2026​ is happening from 10am–8pm at Julia Davis Park. It’s a free, family-friendly festival all about cannabis education in Idaho with live entertainment, local vendors, crafts, and lots of food.

- Boise Little Theater is performing ​Typhoid Mary​ through next weekend. It’s a drama following Mary Mallon’s fight against forced quarantine in early 1900s New York. Tix are $20.
Friday, April 17
- ​Family Club Night​ is happening at TRICA from 5:30–7pm. It’s a dance night with black lights, lasers, and glow accessories, plus a breakdancing lesson from TRICA founder Jon Swarthout. Tix are $19 per person or $59 for a family of 4.
- ​Not Your Granny’s Square Dance!​ is happening at IOA Hall from 7–10pm. Learn to square dance to a live string band and all dances taught. No partner or experience needed! Tix are $15, kids under 13 are free.
Friday, April 17 – Sunday, April 19
- Boise State University Theatre Arts is performing ​Grease​ at the Morrison Center this weekend. You have three chances to see it: 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday, or 2pm on Sunday. It’s the iconic musical following the students of 1950s Rydell High, featuring classic songs and iconic characters. Tix start at $29.75.
Saturday, April 18
- ​Earth Day​ is happening at The WaterShed from 10am–2pm. It’s a free, family-friendly event with hands-on activities, games, exhibits, live music, and food trucks focused on environmental education and climate action. It’s free!
- ​Athletic Club Boise vs Westchester SC​ is happening at Athletic Club Boise Soccer Stadium at Expo Idaho 7pm. It’s our new pro soccer team’s second home match, taking on Westchester SC. Gates open at 5pm. Tix are still available but not many so jump on it!
- ​Climbing Film Tour​ is happening at The Egyptian Theatre at 1pm. It’s a screening of short films celebrating the global climbing community, featuring stories from climbers and filmmakers around the world. Tix are $24.20.
- ​Women’s Adventure Film Tour 2026​ is happening at The Egyptian Theatre at 5pm. It’s showcases inspiring stories of awesome women achieving their adventurous goals. Tix are $24.20.
Sunday, April 19
- ​Idaho Brocante Antique Home and Garden Fair​ is happening from 10am–3pm at 3011 W State Street. It’s an outdoor vintage market with antique, home, and garden vendors. Think French flea market vibes and lots of good treasure hunting. It’s free!
Tuesday, April 21
- ​IdaHistory Tuesday​ is happening from 6:30–8pm at Boise Brewing. It’s a local history talk exploring Idaho’s past. This session is focused on the history of beer in Idaho.
Wednesday, April 22
- ​Spring Fling – Speed Dating Event​ is happening at Parcero Wine Bar from 6–9pm. It’s a fun speed dating night for singles ages 30–55, with multiple mini-dates and really good wine. Tix are $20 and includes your first glass of wine.
- ​Boise Weekly Language Exchange​ is happening at JUMP from 6:30–8:30pm. It’s a casual meetup to practice languages like Spanish, French, German, and more. Just show up, join a table, and start chatting. It’s free!
Wednesday, April 22 – Saturday, May 9
- Boise Contemporary Theater is kicking off ​AJAX​ on Wednesday. It runs through May 9. It’s a dark comedy set in 1950s Tehran, following a young man pulled into political intrigue and unexpected relationships. They built a full pool on stage for the performance! Tix are $14.15–$55.

- ​Malbec Fest: Celebrate the Grape​ is happening at Huston Vineyards. There’s a Malbec Day Dinner on Friday night and events from 12-5pm Saturday including wine tasting, vineyard tours, live music, and food. The dinner on Friday is $125 and admission to Saturday events is $25.

- ​Taste of Caldwell Wine Festival​ is happening from 5–8pm. Explore 20 local wineries with tastings and the chance to meet winemakers from across the Sunnyslope Wine Region. You can buy bottles of your faves and purchase food pairings. Tix are $45. 21+
