    Yesterday marked 5 years of From Boise. On March 30, 2021, I sent the first newsletter to 250 people. Today this newsletter is going to 24,478 people! That’s crazy! Thank you so so much for reading and being part of this community. From Boise has become more than I could have ever dreamed of. This is the best job ever and I am so grateful. It truly wouldn’t be what it is without you. Thank you 🥹💌

    Ok onto the fun stuff. April is tomorrow and that means the farmers markets are back up and running, gardens are ready to be planted, and there’s springy events poppin up all over the place.

    Here’s some things to plan ahead for in April 2026:

    April 4: Boise Farmers Market Opening Day

    ​The Boise Farmers Market​ is back! Opening day for the 2026 market season kicks off at 1500 Shoreline Drive from 9am–1pm. Your favorite local food and craft vendors are back on their regular spring schedule. Here’s my ​story about the market​!

    April 4: Meridian Speedway Season Opener

    ​The Meridian Speedway O’Reilly Auto Parts Season Opener​ kicks off the 2026 short-track racing season on Saturday, April 4. Gates open at 4:45pm, qualifying starts at 6pm, and racing gets going at 6:30pm. Tix are $9–$15, kids 6 and under are free!

    April 5: AC Boise first home match

    ​Athletic Club Boise​, Idaho’s first and only pro soccer/futbol team, has its first home match this weekend! Right now it’s completely sold out but there are a few watch parties at Brixx Craft House, Belmont Brew House, Liga Sports Bar, and Double Tap Pub. You can get tix for an upcoming home match ​here​.

    April 4-5: Easter Egg Hunts

    The Easter Bunny is in town and he’s hiding eggs frickin’ everywhere. Here’s a few fun egg hunts for the fam:

    April 9-11: Vintage Market Days

    ​Vintage Market Days​ is happening at Expo Idaho with over 120 vendors filling up 300 booth spaces. Shop all things vintage, antique, home decor, seasonal decor, gifts, clothing, jewelry, plus enjoy food, live music and more. Tix are $10.

    April 11: GemState 208 Market Season Kick-Off

    The ​GemState 208 Market​ kicks off its 2026 season on Saturday, April 11 from 9am–3pm at Farm Estates Park (1450 N. Massey Ave., Kuna). It’s their 4th anniversary season, celebrating small businesses and local community in Kuna with returning favorite vendors, new faces, food, drinks, raffles, and giveaways. Free to attend.

    April 11: Annual Spring Food Truck Rally at Jordan’s Garden Center

    ​The Annual Spring Food Truck Rally at Jordan’s​ is happening on Saturday, April 11. It’s a perfect way to kick off spring. Expect food trucks, a beer garden, and a live band. This is one of my favorite local garden centers for plants, cute yard things, fresh produce, pumpkins, christmas trees and more!

    April 12: First Boise Flea of the season

    The ​first Boise Flea of the season​ is happening on Sunday, April 12 at Boise State’s East Stadium Lot (1188 W. University Drive). Tons of vendors and all kinds of fun things to find. Admission is always free! Parking is available in the stadium lot for $5 per car.

    April 13: Downtown Boise Dinner Club

    From Boise Dinner Club is back on April 13 and this one is filling up quick! We have a new after party location this time too and I’ll be curious if you’ve been here yet. Only 2 seats left!! ​Book your seat here.

    April 18: Race to Robie Creek

    ​The Race to Robie Creek​ is happening on Saturday, April 18 at High Noon, starting at Fort Boise Park. It’s one of Boise’s most beloved and challenging half marathons. The race is full but you can go to the park to cheer runners on at the start line!

    April 18: Record Store Day

    ​Record Store Day​ is on Saturday, April 18 all day long. Celebrate at local shops including Record Exchange, Modern Sounds Vinyl, and Rollin’ Records. You can find ​special releases​ plus there’s lots of in-store events etc.

    April 18: Sockeye Brewing 80s Beer Prom

    ​Sockeye Brewing’s 80s Beer Prom​ is happening Saturday, April 18 from 7-10pm at Sockeye Brewing. Dig out your best (or worst) 80s prom attire: think neon, mullets, big hair, lace gloves… you know the drill. Sockeye is crowning a Prom King and Queen and the beer will be flowing all night. You didn’t have to actually live through the decade to attend but you do have to be 21+. Tix are $25.

    April 18: Taste of Caldwell Wine Festival

    ​The Taste of Caldwell Wine Festival​ is happening at Indian Creek Plaza on Saturday, April 18 from 5–8pm. It’s an evening celebration spotlighting Idaho’s Sunnyslope wine region, with tastings, food, and live music. Tix are $45 online or $55 at the door. 21+

    April 21–26: Les Misérables

    ​Broadway in Boise presents Les Misérables​ at the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts. The show is running April 21–26 with multiple evening shows and matinees. Tix are $132 and up depending on where you sit.

    April 23: Earth Day Family Night Out at Zoo Boise

    ​Earth Day Family Night Out​ at Zoo Boise is an after-hours event for all ages featuring guided tours, interactive activity stations, and eco-friendly crafts. Goes 6-8pm. Tix are $8 per person.

    April 25: Shade City Brewfest

    ​Shade City Brewfest​ returns to the Idaho Botanical Garden on Saturday, April 25 from 1–6pm. It’s a sustainability-focused, 70s-themed celebration of Idaho craft beer, with dozens of breweries, local vendors, food trucks, and live music spread throughout the garden. Dress up in your best bell bottoms, ride your bike, and bring your own cup. Tix are $45 or $95 for VIP. 21+

    April 30: Boise Bench Dinner Club

    Join From Boise Dinner Club for dinner on the Boise Bench! The Bench is home to some amazing ethnic restaurants and excellent bars. It’s going to be awesome! ​Book your seat here.​
